The young woman deftly leapt out of the way, narrowly avoiding her thrust. When the lance struck the wall, it glowed for a moment and the wall exploded. Not being one to waste an opportunity, Rusyuna leapt through the hole in the wall and onto the roof of the building, putting distance between herself and Touka.
"That lance, it creates an explosion the moment it strikes... it has a Kinetic Enhancer, the Kensousen, one of the tools of the heavenly enlightened." Rusyuna thought out load. "If she can handle such a dangerous tool then…"
Resyuna's train of thought was cut off as Touka thrust the lance into the roof underneath her. Once again, Rusyuna was forced to jump away from the explosion onto another tier of the roof. Touka followed.
"Mistress," Rusyuna asked as she turned around, "You are one of the ten strongest enlightened who protect Tenshi-sama, the ten heavenly enlightened, aren’t you? I heard one of them was a lancer…"
Touka chuckled, "A story of the past."
"Then tell me what's going on!" Rusyuna exclaimed, "Why am I being targeted by the Tento Public Security Department! Why did Tenshi-sama place a bounty on my head."
Touka sneered. "You make outrageous claims like being Vash the Stampede's daughter and you have the gall to ask questions like that?"
Once again Touka struck out at Rusyuna. Every thrust, Rusyuna would dodge, every strike against the ground, Rusyuna would jump. While the female gunslinger was on the defensive, Touka could not harm her using her current technique.
"I was not lying!" Rusyuna stated as she dodged the enemy attacks, "I really am his daughter!"
"Vash never said anything about having a daughter!"
Rusyuna winced, leaving an opening that allowed Touka to get in a strike. Rusyuna blocked it with her hands. The impact was nothing more than a gentle shove, but in the split second where the Kensousen began to glow, she pushed away with all her strength.
The resulting blast sent her tumbling across the roof, away from Touka.
Slowly Rusyuna rose to her feet and looked at Touka, ready for the next assault, though her words could not help but haunt her.
Vash never said anything about having a daughter.
