The results were not even close to what the fathers had intended when they'd cast it.
They'd known the spell was working because each of the ingredients had vanished in a puff of smoke when they'd thrown it into the cauldron.
However, it being a spell from the Bakanomicon, just casting it had been a problem. Casting it while using ingredients that had very little in common with those listed in the recipe, leaving ends open, and mangling the name of the being summoned were all good ways to have the spell go in a very very twisted direction even by Bakanomicon standards.
Genma and Soun's spell had summoned Ranma (and a number of girls that Genma and Soun had inadvertantly added by thinking about them briefly) to a place where he could only free them by engaging in sex with them.
Nodoka was much better at following a recipe than either Soun or Genma.
There were some spells in the book that didn't interest her in the slightest. When she saw the title was "Plague Of Frogs" or "To Make Barren" - she simply went to the next one. Some, such as "Fitzwalter's Fizzling Fragrance", were slightly more interesting but nothing she saw a practical use for. Some, such as "Sexual Prowess Of The Greek God" sounded very very interesting indeed - but she had no idea where or how to get a couple of the ingredients. The where was a statue of a Greek god, and the how was a sample of the bodily fluids of the male in question. While she was very interested in performing this spell on Ranma, thereby ensuring he would be quite manly, she didn't know how to go about asking her son for such a material.
There were some spells that she thought she could get ingredients for. "Empowered Harem" required her son (the person named) to have sex with the girls within twenty-four hours (twelve hours before and twelve hours after) of the spell being cast. Certainly if any girls started manifesting superpowers, that would tell her right off the bat that her son was being manly! "The Grand Climax" certainly sounded interesting, but she wasn't sure about a couple of the phrases in the Warnings section. There was the "Bind With Chains Of Love" spell that sounded fairly kinky, though it required an infusion of elemental magic and where was she to get that? There was the "Cloud Of Eros" - but the warning there said that controlling the spell was impossible due to a "diffusive nature." Then there was this "Summoned Lover" spell.
