However, she was also a woman who deeply cared about her only child. She wanted him to have a good life, and had she been able to have him with her for those years of training, she would have done all she could to provide for his happiness. As a mother, she was a loving one, who could only hope that what she had done had benefited him. And if she could get him affections, then it would be something that she would enjoy mightily.
Of course... she was a meddlesome woman, and could admit it to herself. Sure, she preferred to act restrained, but it was hard to keep herself from poking her nose into certain things. In this case, it looked to be fun, and she couldn't help herself. A part of her wanted to have a bit of fun, and the idea of playing with this spell seemed to be interesting.
So, she got all the items that she could, and prepared to cast the spell called 'Bind With Chains Of Love', just for a bit of amusement. Even if it worked, it'd just give him some affections, and he'd be manly enough to manage it. She was certain that he would know what he'd have to do, but then she wasn't quite certain that this spell would actually be really cast in any case. After all, she had most of the components, but was missing the infusion of elemental magic. Without that, she would be stuck without something that she thought would be an important part of the spell.
Then her husband decided to provide for her. She'd heard some yelling when she'd been getting her ingredients, and discovered that the father of her child was being chased. He was apparently running from a group of people, including a long haired boy in robes, several neighbors, and a group of outsiders that looked like they were new to the area. It took her a moment to hear what was going on, but apparently, Genma had taken some things without permission, and had annoyed them mightily because of that.
But it wasn't until the sight of something magical that she was distracted. As it seemed to be elemental, she knew that she had the chance to have the finishing piece of her spell. With it, she could cast it, and have a bit of fun. Doing so might be a bit of fun, since she was reasonably certain that it wouldn't be something that'd be a problem.
And so she went over to cast the spell, never knowing that the spell book would be wondering if it had fallen into its own version of heaven, and let the magic flow, while her son and the girls with him got the effects of:
