All assumptions were removed when she got up and realized that her feet had made a 'clunking' sound when they hit the floor. That cleared any lingering sleepiness from her mind as she'd catalogued all her changes. And once she did that, she'd dashed over to lock her door to make certain that no one would come in to see her.
There was no way in hell that she wanted anyone to see her new form as a ponygirl.
She knew that anyone who would see her would know what she was now. Besides the fact that her feet were now that of a horse, her legs, while still lithe, were now made for running, with tight muscles working under the sleek softness that wrapped them up. Her abdomen was tighter than it'd ever been, and her breasts were larger and firmer than she'd hoped they'd be. The enhanced musculature that kept her legs slender while strengthening them was also in her arms and back, so that she could lift and carry things more than she had once been able to. Then there was her hair, which, while still clearly human, was following the 'mane' description, and flowed in silky waves over the tautness of her shoulders and her slim neck.
In essence, she was a ponygirl, and not only was she afraid of the pity, disgust and shock that could be everyone's first reaction, but she could see other reactions as well. In fact, Kuno alone could cause her untold grief by seeing her as being turned into this... mutation either as a 'gift from the gods' for him, or some sort of spell that he'd have to save her from. That alone was enough to make her want to stay in seclusion, but just being changed made her not want to go out. Ranma might be a 'horse' in name, but she was one in body.
And she didn't know what she was going to be able to do about it while:
