So, she hoped against hope and actually smiled for a moment when she saw that she was going to be doing the 'tug of war' event. That was simple enough of an idea, and she knew that she'd be pretty good with it. After all, she was a martial artist, and the event wasn't anything fancy. The only thing that she'd have to do would be to pull a rope better than her opponent and manage to win the contest. Since she was stronger than a lot of girls, something even Ranma admitted to when he made his stupid insults, she didn't see how she could fail.
And then she noticed that there was an added 'bonus' to the normal game. Instead of the normal field, or the occasional tiny bit of dirt, mud, or water, they actually had a pit involved in this. If that was not bad enough, they were going to be expected to do it over the pit while standing on a tightrope. Those two things alone were enough to make her annoyed, but it was made even worse when she saw that this would not be a pit with a simple fall into something simple, like a net, or some sort of padding. Rather than keep at least one part of the whole mess reasonable, it was being set up so that the girls would have to pull the rope over something some idiot had probably thought would be a 'good idea'.
"When I get my hands on the moron who came up with this idea..." she growled under her breath. Unfortunately, she couldn't be sure of who came up with this little plan, but she was reasonably sure that she either knew or could find out who it was. However, that didn't change the fact that she was being pushed into a situation that had left 'distasteful' back before it'd even been more than someone's idiotic suggestion.
