Akane was not amused at all.
Here was the tank of attack trained lobsters. Considering that it was the headmaster involved - she was expecting them to go for haircutting.
Over here was being added Instant Jusenkyo Powder. Akane hadn't even known it came in Industrial Size. Apparently Principal Kuno had heard of it and added it on some bizarre impulse. She couldn't read the Chinese characters on the box, but judging from the grins on the faces of the boys mixing the stuff in - it was probably not something she wanted to experience first hand.
Lemon Jello. Actually that looked the least offensive of the various possibilities, with the possible exception of the whipped cream. Both were just standing ready, apparently the ingredients were to be mixed just before the actual event.
She had no idea what the bubbling green stuff in that large metal dumpster was. Radioactive waste? Acid? Some weird Chinese alchemical mix?
Nair Instant Everything Remover. Having no desire to be bald, Akane memorized the location and wondered if she could aim her fall away from that vat if she should lose her balance.
Seeing all this, plus more weirdness, Akane briefly wondered how the principal had gotten even more nuts than normal.
flashback:A short silhouette sneaks into the Principal's office and begins switching papers around and scribbling out notes, before departing as he had entered, only to whisper something about silky darlings calling him away.

Akane shook her head at the sudden feeling of dread. This wouldn't be a problem. She could win this easy. As with typical Sports Fest competitions, this was one class versus another. How could she possibly lose?
crackle - boom
Akane looked up at the sound of distant thunder but there was no indication that the day might be rained out.
