*STOMP* *STOMP* *STOMP* *STOMP*
The enemy robot moved in for the kill, pointing its right arm at the cockpit.
“Damn it! There’s an injured woman in here!” Ranma bellowed at the hostile unit in front of them. “Sorry, Miss, but I need to do something.”
With not even a complete plan formed in his head, Ranma gently moved the casualty out of the chair and grabbed what he thought were the controls. The spheres he touched lit up and hummed.
“Cool. But first things first, let’s get that door closed!” he shouted. As the hatch shut, the view screen sprang into view, allowing the pigtailed pilot to see the outside world.
Ranma willed the machine to stand up and face the enemy. “Attack an injured woman would you? Well, I’ll show you!”
He moved towards the enemy, his confidence in his ability to pilot growing with very step. “Let’s try this,” he decided.
The white mech rushed in and attacked the side of the black robot, punching it in the head. Seeing it having an effect, Ranma followed it up with a flurry of blows until the black robot collapsed.
“Ha! Let that be a lesson to you,” Ranma taunted.
He turned to the helmeted figure he was sharing the cockpit with and saw it was a woman, slightly older than himself with long, silvery hair.
“What’s you name, Miss?” Ranma asked, hoping she wasn’t hurt further by his actions as pilot.
“Y-yayoi Schwal,” she answered with a light blush.
“Well, Yayoi, I’m Ranma Saotome, and I’m sorry about taking over like this.”
“R-ranma,” Yayoi smiled, “t-thank you.”
Ranma knew he had to make a decision about what to do next. He weighed up his options, and saw that he could either:
