Dressed in a standard issue blue mechanic outfit and hat, Kou who now sported his disguise of special contacts, a beard, mustache and sunglasses sat in the backseat of the SUV. “So he wasn’t detected moving the Sword into position?”
“They didn’t even get a whiff of him, and that radar-jammer you and Lowe made on the plane on the way helped a lot with that.” Jane answered; her hair dyed a dirty blonde, and a few fake age-lines added and an alteration to her hairstyle to conceal her identity. She too wore the same mechanics outfit with the hat and shades.
“So everything’s set to proceed as plan?” Lowe inquired a fake scar on his right cheek and his hair gelled into a new style, also he too wore the same outfit as his friends.
Jane nodded as she switched lanes so she could get off the highway and onto the turn-off that led to the depot where the mobile suits were being stored. “Yep, and I don’t think I need to stress that we don’t slip up and call each other by our real names and not our fake ones for the mission. You both memorized our alias correct?”
”Lowe’s Sam Wiseman, you’re Maggie Sampson, and I’m Dick Tracer.” Kou said as he recalled the alias and their back-stories by name. He then frowns, “How come my fake name has to be Dick? I just know I’ll be the butt of a dozen dirty jokes cuz of it.”
”Sorry Kou, but when Ed and I were creating the alias in the database we just put those names together based on they weren’t already taken and we wouldn’t end up impersonating someone who does exist. So you’re stuck with it till the mission ends.”
The young Coorindator grumbled lightly, scratching his beard. “Gah! This God damned thing itches like a bastard who’s overdue for a bath!”
“Just make sure you don’t scratch it off or draw attention to yourself with the itching.” Jane reminded.
“Yeah, yeah.” Kou grumbled as he itched at the beard with less intensity.
”There’s the front date, get into character and get those ID passes ready.” Lowe said as he pointed ahead of the vehicle as a large fenced gate appeared on the horizon.
Jane slows the vehicle’s speed down as to not agitate the guards posted at the gate. She stops when one of the guards signals for her to stop. She lowers her shades, and smiles at the guard. “H’lo Gov, we’re the new drivers to take the goods to Panama.” She spoke using a British accent to hide help further her disguise.
“Please present your ID cards and stand by for verification.” The head guard said like monotone clock-work as a he made a hand signal for two other guards to come out.
Jane, Lowe, and Kou took out their ID cards and presented them to each guard who slid them across hand-held readers which began to search the databases to verify their identities. A green light atop the readers lit up on each one as the ID cards were verified.
“Well everything checks out,” The head guard says as he hands Jane back her card and the other guards did the same for Kou and Lowe. The other two guards return to their posts inside the guard station; the gate opening for the SUV to venture onward.
Saluting the head guard said to the three hijackers in disguise. “Welcome to Depot 234, and I hope everything goes well with the transporting.”
”With us, you don’t have’ta worry bout’ a thing man.” Kou smirked as he gave a thumbs up, using a laid back dialect that was a cross of Osaka and New Jersey while making his voice sound more older than it naturally was.
“You can count on us Gov.” Jane winked as she drove past the gate and onto the road leading toward a large building that was composed of two large hangers and a two-story building that was once a factory. They stop at one more check-in station before they are allowed to drive into the parking lot near the large hanger. The three step out of the SUV, and proceed casually toward the door that led into the first hanger. Lowe reached the door first, swiping his card through a reader which unlocked the door, allowing all three to gain access.
Inside the hanger was three MS carriers, each one carrying the Raider Full-Spec, the Forbidden Blue, and the Buster Dagger. Through a large set of open double doors they could see the Sword Calamity Unit 01 on another carrier inside the other hanger.
“So how much time do we got ‘fore departure Mags?” Kou inquired as he took off his shades and put them in his front breast pocket.
”About an hour so we have time to stretch and grab some coffee and a snack before we Gov.” Jane replied as they spoke in carefully spoken casual words that were in reality hidden code phases.
”I like the sound of that, I could use a cup and maybe some Dunkin’ Sticks if their vending machines got any of them.” Lowe remarked as he spoke the best Russian-like accent he could manage without it sounding overtly faked.
“Well then how’s bout Sam gets us the coffee and snacks since he’s the hungriest of us, while we check out the carriers to make sure they’re good to go.” Kou said as he raised an eyebrow at Jane.
”Sounds plenty good to me Dick, how’s bout you Gov?” She turned to regard Lowe as she asked that.
“Just call me the Gopher.” Lowe grins and walks off to find the employee lounge or rec-room and get the coffee and sweets.
Nodding to Jane, Kou and the former EA pilot move out to put their plan into action.
