Silver Restrike: Usagi's New and Old Day [Episode 141798]

by Disruptor

Waking up, Usagi stared at the ceiling of her room.

"It was just a dream," she muttered to herself. "The Earth isn't destroyed."

"Usagi, wake up!" Ikoku Tsukino's shout was heard. "Even if yesterday was your fourteenth birthday that's no reason to not get up on time for school."

"Fourteenth?" Usagi whispered. "I dreamt all about Sailor Moon and the rest."

Usagi smiled and got up. "I'm just an ordinary girl. One who is going to do better in school."

As she got dressed, she hummed a cheerful tune. The tune died in her throat as she spotted a heart shaped brooch on her dressing table. Nine diamond shaped crystals in various colors were embedded on the outer cover. Snatching it up, she opened the brooch. Her heart sank as she saw the Silver Crystal.

"It wasn't a dream. I came back in time, before I met Luna."

Closing the brooch she stared at the crystals on the outside. "I can save them."

Usagi shook her head, and finished getting dressed. She had a second chance and wasn't going to waste it. She headed downstairs and had breakfast with her family. After doing so, she raced off to school.

"I wonder what Miss Haruna is going to say when I show up on time," Usagi thought.

As she sped along, she startled a group of boys who were about to put a bandage on the head of a black cat. Their surprise allowed the cat to escape from them and dash away.

Usagi smiled as the school came into view. "A chance to get it right."

Students and teachers were startled as the perpetually late Usagi was early for once. Usagi paid them no heed and went to her classroom. She smiled at Naru as she sat down.

"Usagi?" Naru asked in surprise. "You're early. How?"

Usagi's smile faded as she remembered the future she had left. Shaking her head of those memories, she resolved not to let it happen. Seeing Naru's concerned face, she made up a lie.

"Nightmare."

"Oh."

Miss Haruna entered the class and glanced at the door, as if waiting for someone. She picked up the list of students and started reading it. After a few seconds she reached a certain name.

Staring at the classroom door, Haruna called out, "Usagi Tsukino."

"Here."

Miss Haruna's head whipped around and saw Usagi sitting at her desk.

Usagi quickly said, "I had a nightmare that woke me up and I couldn't go back to sleep."

"Ah." Miss Haruna said and went back to role call.

After school, Usagi stared at the test she had just taken.

"At least I passed this time," Usagi thought. "Mom's still going to be upset. I guess I should act as if I'm upset."

Usagi crumpled the paper in her hand and threw it over her shoulder. She heard it hit something behind her.

"Hey, watch where you're throwing things," a familiar voice said.

Usagi reluctantly turned around and saw Mamoru Chiba.

Mamoru was holding the test that he recently uncrumpled. "65? You'd better study harder meatball head."

Usagi grabbed the paper from him and said, "Don't call me meatball head."

She walked away from him with Naru right beside her.

"Usagi, he was kind of cute."

Usagi didn't say anything, while trying to keep her face neutral. She felt like crying upon seeing Mamoru alive again, but not knowing who she was. A thought came to her, banishing thoughts of Mamoru almost immediately.

"The day I first met Mamoru was the day I met Luna. I was late on that day, but this time I was at school on time. I missed my meeting with Luna."

Usagi saw that they were approaching the store where Naru's mom worked.

"I'll talk to you later," Usagi said. "I'm feeling kind of tired."

"See you later."

Usagi headed home with test in hand. She knew what was to come and she needed her brooch.

"Mom. I'm home," Usagi called out.

Ikoku Tsukino came out of the kitchen. "You had a test today. What did you get on it?"

Wincing slightly, Usagi handed the paper to her mother. She braced herself for the inevitable explosion.

"See what you can do if you study? If you studied harder, you'd have better scores."

Usagi, shocked, asked, "You aren't going to throw me out of the house?"

Her mother shook her head and replied, "No. If it was a 30 I might have, but at least you passed."

"Only because I have taken this test three times and was being tutored by Ami for the past two years. Or, is that the next two years after this one?"

Usagi headed upstairs and put her books on her desk. She opened them up and started studying, while resting her hand on her brooch.

"I'm going to need my original costume. I wonder."

Usagi made a motion with her hand and a pink pen appeared.

"Great. I still have the disguise pen. If I can't use the brooch to get my old costume, I'll use this."

Usagi placed the pen back into subspace and fingered the brooch while she finished studying.

Looking out the window, Usagi sighed, "Luna isn't going to come. I'll have to do this on my own."

"Cosmic Moon Power. Make Up."

After transforming, Usagi saw that she still was Eternal Sailor Moon. She quickly detransformed and tired again, while thinking of her old costume.

"Moon Prism Power. Make up."

Sailor Moon smiled as she was once again back in her old costume. She leapt out the window and dashed off to the jewelry store where Naru and her mom lived.

"I don't have the Crescent Wand and I can't use the one I got to replace it. Moon Princess Halitation would be a dead give away on who I really am. I can still use the tiara and I guess the Cutie Motion Rod will have to be what I use to heal people with. The mace and the sword will be needed later."
