Messin' With 40k: The Best Laid Plans of Cats and Gods... [Episode 142191]

by PsyckoSama

Toltiir absently dipped his paw into the pool as he considered his plans. This universe was defiantly one that needed heroes, heroes willing to change thing for the better. Invincible men willing to do invincible things in the name of the kind of humanistic humanitarian ideal that was long dead in that universe.

Problem was, people like that tended to be really dramatic, but he was a god of mischief, he needed his comedy. Combining the two would be a problem, especially when you consider how difficult it could be to find people actually capable of surviving in that hell.

For a moment he considered his old stand-by, Ranma, but quickly shook his head. He'd be eaten alive. He just was not powerful enough nor did he possess the commonsense to survive… and besides, wasn't it about time her harassed someone else?

So what was the plan? He thought about if for a moment. He needed people with what it took to survive as well as the ability to keep him amused. He quickly decided what he needed was a team. Maybe 5-10 wack-jobs who's abilities would be complimentary and who's abilities would be great enough to kick ass, take names, and chew bubble-gum.

The small cat absently began waving his tail as he thought. A team. What would be the requirements of a team…

Well, first you'd need transport. A ship or something of the like capable of transporting them over interstellar distances. That undoubtedly would come with a crew which would probably fill most technical requirements for the group. Then, maybe a hero… someone who'd fit the epic hero niche but could function along with the others. Then how about the one who's unsure of themselves… someone with great potential if they'd only get their act together. Then… how about a major oddball. The last person you'd ever expect to see… someone by their very nature would keep things quite interesting… He'd also need a straight man, but he figured that could likely be handled by forcing some poor local, maybe a Inquisitor or the like, to travel with them…

The cat smiled and jumped up. Now that he had a plan, he only needed to figure out who… he needed a ship capable of FTL. If it could not handle the distances involved then he'd just tweak it a bit. Now lets see…
