Luckily, he knew how Aku operated, and doubted it would be long before he got one.
He was right
- Aku City – Aku's Citadel - The Age of Aku -
One again, the Samurai known as Jack stood over the defeated form of his arch enemy. It had been a long battle but he had finally triumphed. After all his battles, all his efforts, the dark lord Aku was at his mercy once again... “Your evil magics cannot save you now, Aku.”
The dark lord coughed and glared hatefully at his opponent. “You may have defeated me, Samurai, but remember this… I have destroyed all that allows travel through time. You will never be able to save your homeland. While I may be defeated, my evil will be forever!”
Jack's eyes narrowed. That was his only regret. "Your evil may survive, but you shall not."
"Yeah, yeah," Aku replied, "I am sure that will comfort you when you go to sleep at night knowing you have failed your country, and that I make sure you father died a most painful death. I am sure my death will comfort you ever night as you consider the enormity of your failure, SAMURAI JACK!"
Samurai Jack gritted his teeth in rage. "Hear me now, Aku. I will destroy you and find a way to return to my own time. You are only trying to weaken my resolve but you will fail, because my spirit is pure and my cause is just! One day I will find my way back home and destroy your evil once and for all!"
The samurai lifted his sword, but as he prepared to deliver a final bow, Aku laughed.
Jack blinked. "What is so funny?"
"Look down Samurai Jack…" replied the shape shifting demon.
Jack looked at his feat and narrows his eyes as he saw the ground begin to glow.
“What trickery is this?”
"Just needed to buy myself a little time, that’s all…"
In an instant the glow coalesced into a portal and Jack fell through, screaming “Damn you, Aku!!!”
The shape shifting lord of darkness sat up and looked though the portal with an ironic smile across his twisted features. "I just can't believe you were dumb enough to fall for the same trick twice, Samurai..."
He shrugged, “Oh well, I guess your not killing me today, Samurai! I'll see you again IN TIME! Hahahahaha!"

Toltiir smirked as he redirected Aku's time tunnel.
