Messin' With 40k: Running the Flat 90 [Episode 142374]

by PsyckoSama

Toltiir laid back in his favorite sunny spot as he considered the next sucker. There were just so many potentials that it was hard to decide. He had a ship, he had the starts of a crew, and he had a sword welding hero. Who next?

He guessed he could use an innocent one, but dropping any innocent into the Warhammer 40,000 universe was cruel. He needed someone with the right stuff, the purity of heart to stay true to themselves in the hell that he was sending them to, as well as the strength to survive.

His first thought was Tsukino Usagi, AKA Sailor Moon. She had the power she had the integrity, unfortunately, she didn't have a lick common sense. She'd be eaten alive before she figured out how to survive in that dark universe.

He needed someone a little darker. He did not have to look far.

Tomoe Hotaru was the perfect candidate. She was a sweet innocent girl with an assload of power but unlike Usagi she was not a ditz or a klutz.

He grinned. It could even be beneficial to her. Unlike Sailor Moon, the Senshi of Death and Rebirth's power was dark in nature. This frightened the others and thus she would never be capable of mastering it for her full strength would be forever taboo. The simple fact was that destruction was easy while creation was hard guaranteed that she would never be able to be anything more than a living nuclear weapons while she was bound to the others.

She would survive, and not only would she have a chance to come into her powers, but the others he was sending would be better role models and parent figures than the idiots she ends up getting settled with.

He smiled. She could learn honor and virtue from Jack, a love for knowledge and learning from Kiva, and… well, the other two are not bad guys once you get used to them and she could use loving big brothers, even if one was a fat slob and the other was a bit of a self-serving ass.

Yeah, Hotaru it is.

Sailor Saturn slowly walked towards the darkened form of Pharaoh 90. She knew that the abomination had to be destroyed, no matter the costs. While she was still Hotaru she was also Sailor Saturn. If she had to sacrifice herself to save the world, then it would be a fair trade. While she didn't want to die, she was the only one who could stop this monster.

Behind her the battered form of Sailor Moon struggled to stand.

"Wait! I'll go with you!"

Hotaru turned to the Senshi. "No. To destroy Pharaoh 90, you must do so with a single attack from within. As Super Sailor Moon you would have the strength, but now that you don't have the power of the chalice, you wouldn't even be able to get inside. I am the only one who can do it."

Sailor Moon nodded. "When you do destroy Pharaoh 90...what's going to happen to you?"

"I am known as the Senshi of Silence because I have been given the power to destroy whole worlds," Saturn raised her right arm, and her Silence Glaive appeared in her hand. "But when I use that power, even I can't escape."

"No!" exclaimed as she Sailor Moon tried to rush forward to stop her.

Hotaru scowled. Why couldn't she understand? Did Sailor Moon think she wanted to die? She had to do this. No one else could. Lowering the glaive in her hands, she pointed her Glaive at Sailor Moon's forehead, stopping her from approaching any further.

Sailor Moon gasped and backed away from the weapon as Saturn once again began forward.

Sailor Saturn smiled wearily. "Good bye"

She jumped into the dark entity, and lifting her weapon into the air, she brought it down with a cry.

Death Reborn Revolution!

A shockwave began to emanate through the monster, ripping him apart. Hotaru could feel her life being leached by the power she had unleashed. While she may not survive, she knew the others would. The world would.

"Good bye…" she muttered one again, knowing the others could hear her, as she was ready to submit to the oblivion of death.

Suddenly she felt another presence behind her, a wave of healing power regenerating her, restoring her life…

…And this is where Toltiir stepped in. Originally Sailor Moon had applied not only enough power to restore her strength, and even heal her infirmity, but she over killed so much that the regeneration that she was reverted to a baby… that would just not do.

Throwing the break around the regeneration, he subtly manipulated the death energy of Pharaoh 90 to create a hole in time and space. To the others it would look like a natural side effect… perfect way to pull the caper off in his personal opinion.

As the dark energy that was Pharaoh 90 faided, the other Senshi looked upon Sailor Moon.

"Is she dead", Uranus asked calmly.

"No," Sailor Moon replied, "She was dieing, but I healed her… then she was sucked into some kind of vortex."

"So Sailor Saturn is lost?" Neptune asked.

Usagi smiled. "I think she'll be back… no, I know it…"
