So. The Nadja-as-a-young-girl lookalike was "Rosie", with the Rosemary-as-a-young-girl lookalike being "Nadia"? Oddly fitting, he supposed.
He remembers Rosemary with her golden twins, and snickers a bit inwardly. They hadn't been the only children Rosemary had had in her life, either, that much he did know...
Scanning the halls for Rosemary-descendents might be actually a worthwhile prospect in and of itself, now that he thought about it. Just think about the potential blackmail possibilities.
OK, then, Tom murmered, popping a simple Lineage spell. They were cousins, and both actually happened to be Flemingers, to boot.
Nadia Fleminger and Rosie Fleminger, is that it?
No. Tom Riddle groaned, amusement and dismay intermixed.
It was actually Rosemary Fleminger. Which did mean that the Hermann-lookalike he'd seem was probably actually a Fleminger too, and that meant...
And that was the exact moment in which the world seemed to turn inside out.
Tom Riddle shook himself awake, shaking off dust and debris. Dark vibes hummed though the shadows and screams.
He hears things that he thought long dead and gone. Or at least, dead. Murmuring parseltongue, whispering babytalk and nonsense words...
Not that Parseltongue was actually such a rare Talent as most people seemed to think. He'd known at least three students who actually had that particular Talent, in the 7 more-or-less years he'd gone to Hogwarts..
Like Gault. Tom Gault the horror, who had managed basic Dark Arts as natualy as breathing, was horrible at almost anything else, and was one of the few people that he had taken care to avoid...
Tom Riddle could remember being very very glad that that particular boy had been in Ravenclaw. He didn't think both of them could have survived being in the same House, frankly.
And it did sound a lot like that particular boy, now, didn't it just?
Except that Tom Gault was dead, of course.
Yes. ....Yes he was.
...Wasn't he?
