"Greetings, Miss Tsukino. I came here to accompany Usagi to school," Mai said.
Ikuko replied, "She's not up yet. I'll go wake her. By the way, how much did it cost to get a taxi ride here?"
"Taxi ride? I ran all the way here," Mai said smiling.
"You ran?" Ikuko said, and then held up a hand. "Never mind."
Ikuko showed Mai into the house and went to wake Usagi. All the while she shook her head in disbelief. At first, she had a problem when trying to wake Usagi up. Once she mentioned Mai, Usagi snapped awake.
"Mai is here?" Usagi asked in shock.
Ikuko nodded. "Yes, she is. She wants to accompany you to school."
Usagi got up and quickly got dressed. Luna watched with extreme curiosity and interest. Usagi met Mai in the front room. After Usagi grabbed a quick breakfast, which Mai politely declined, the two of them ran towards Juuban High School.
"So that is Mai. I feel something strange about her," Luna thought, watching the two dash off from the window.
As the two of them ran, they caught up with Naru who was just casually walking to school. Main and Usagi slowed down, to walk beside Naru.
"Good morning, Naru," Usagi said.
Naru blinked and checked her watch. "Usagi? You're up early and going to be on time? Miss Haruna is not going to believe it."
Mai softly chuckled, drawing Naru's attention to her.
"Hello, Naru. My name is Tsurugino Mai. I've heard a lot about you."
"H-hello," Naru said, a little nervous about Mai. "Your outfit...?"
Mai waved it off. "I'm just checking to see if Juuban High is a better place to go for my little sister than the school I'm attending. I've got a special disposition to keep wearing my school uniform while at Juuban, since I'm going to be there for a month at most."
"Ah, I see," Naru said.
Mai noticed two people watching the little group. At first glance, one of them appeared to be a man, but Mai quickly figured out that it was a woman. The couple stared in frustration at Usagi.
"So that is Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune in their civilian forms," Mai thought. "The confrontation will wait until after school."
Once the trio made it to Juuban High, Usagi and Naru showed Mai the classroom they attended. Miss Haruna was shocked that Usagi was early, as were all of the other students. The shock was so much that no one asked any questions of Mai after she was introduced to the class. The school day proceeded as normal. The Inner Senshi that attended Juuban High stayed away from Usagi, who was chatting up a storm with Naru. During gym class, Mai was easily able to out perform Makoto in physical activities. Once school was over, Mai pulled Usagi and Naru aside.
"Let's wait a moment," Mai said.
Naru and Usagi asked in unison, "Why?"
Mai held up a finger and said, "Just wait. It won't be long."
"Mai! Big sister! I'm here," a voice called out.
Naru and Usagi turned and saw a girl that was a couple years younger than they were and wearing one of the shortest skirts that either had seen on a school uniform.
"Naru, this is my little sister Hikari. She attends an all-girl school currently," Mai said.
Naru noticed the light sheen of sweat and blinked, as she recognized the uniform. "That school is pretty far away."
"It was just an easy run over here," Hikari said.
The four casually walked back in the direction of Naru and Usagi's respective homes. The sisters scanned the area, hunting for someone. Naru saw that Usagi was very nervous about something.
"Usagi, what's going on?" Naru asked.
"Um...," Usagi said nervously.
Mai explained, "She was being attacked by two bullies two days ago. The two of us are hunting for them to put an end to the bullying. This is part of my job that I dislike."
"Job?" Naru asked. "You have a job? Is it one of the ones that...."
"Hikari and I work at a police station part-time," Mai said. "Our job mostly amounts to reducing the paperwork for a Detective. However, there are times we have to help out in the field."
"Ah," Naru replied.
"By the way Naru, you're going to be offered something. Personally, I'd refuse it. You'll be wearing ridiculous clothing," Mai said.
"Big sister, there's a creepy couple following us," Hikari said.
"We'll make our stand in that parking lot three blocks ahead," Mai said.
"Why there?" Naru asked, a bit frightened.
"The building is scheduled for demolition and there should be no witnesses, save us," Mai said, and glanced over her shoulder. "Yep, it's them."
The four went into the parking lot and headed towards the building. Once they were close to a wall, Mai motioned for the group to stop. They did and turned around. Mai and Hikari stood in front of Naru and Usagi. Soon Haruka and Michiru in their civilian forms entered the parking lot. They were surprised that the group was waiting for them.
Haruka said, "Usagi, if you want to make things easier. Just hand it over. It doesn't belong to you."
"It's mine. I don't care what you say."
Naru looked back and forth between Usagi and the two Outer Senshi. "Usagi, what's going on?"
Mai said, "Those two out there are Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune. They want to take a valuable magical artifact away from Usagi, since they believe that she isn't the rightful wielder of it. This is ignoring the fact, that she has used it several times without getting killed."
Naru stared at Usagi in shock and said in a small voice, "Usagi is this true?"
"I'll explain later," Usagi said.
"You won't have to," Hikari said cheerfully. "We're here to knock these two psychos out. It should be a fun fight."
Haruka glared at the two impertinent girls who stood between Usagi and them. "Usagi, you have proven once again that you are not the true wielder of the Gizinshou. The real princess would not have revealed our identities to ordinary people."
Mai yawned and winked at them. "Even if you transform, you won't be able to beat us. You two are jokes."
Michiru glared at Mai. "Jokes. We are trying to do this for the good of mankind."
"The good of mankind?" Hikari asked. "We're the ones who work for the police."
"That's it. You asked for it. Uranus Planet Power, Make Up!"
"Neptune Planet Power, Make Up!"
Naru watched in shock as the two girls turned into Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus. Mai and Hikari glanced back at the two and winked. They looked at each other and nodded. Mai pulled out the Elephant Makendo and Hikari the sword painted like a candy cane."
In unison the sisters said, "Mariyagaran Makendo!"
All save Usagi stared in shock as the two girls powered up to their Makendo forms. Once the transformation was complete, a high quality shinai formed in front of Mai and she grabbed it.
"I am First Makendo of the Spirit Police," Mai said. "Cease your hostilities towards Sailor Moon at once."
Naru's mouth dropped. "Usagi? You're Sailor Moon? I had suspicions, but this...?"
Sailor Uranus shook off her shock and glared at Mai. "You really think that two phony Sailor Senshi can beat true ones?"
"We're Makendo, not Sailor Senshi!" Hikari shouted.
The two Outer Senshi pulled out their respective talismans.
"Hikari, you take blue bitch. I'll take blonde bitch," Mai said. "Usagi, you had better transform."
"Right, big sister," Hikari said.
Usagi grimaced and looked at Naru. "This is not how I wanted to tell you."
Both Outer Senshi glared even harder at Mai.
"You want to go one on one with me? Fine. Come on," Haruka said.
Mai and Hikari waited for the Outers to make their move.
"Submarine Reflection!"
"Space Sword Blaster!"
Mai concentrated and blue flames formed around her and she shot forward like a rocket. As she charged forward, the blue flames shattered the attack from the Space Sword. Mai swung her shinai at Sailor Uranus. The Senshi of earth and wind blocked the attack with the Space Sword. Uranus was shocked that the shinai was not even nicked by her talisman. Mai looked at the locked weapons and bit Uranus's nose. While still keeping up the pressure with her teeth, Mai did a modified rolling throw. She fell backwards and used her momentum to kick Sailor Uranus into the side of the building and turn her fall into a backward somersault. The Space Sword wound up several meters away from Uranus.
"Matsukadahshiyu," Hikari called out, as red flames engulfed her body.
Hikari shot up at a forty-five degree angle and her flames caused the Deep Aqua Mirror's attack to explode into steam. As Hikari was in the air, she kicked back and used the building as a springboard to shoot her forward towards Sailor Neptune. Hikari clenched her fist and held it forward. Michiru dropped the mirror, as Hikari landed fist first on her left eye. Makendo 2 brought he feet forward and used Sailor Neptune's chest to kick away and do a somersault jump. Hikari landed on her feet, but Sailor Neptune fell on her back hard.
Standing up, Mai spit out the bits of flesh she took from Uranus. "You have lousy tastes in clothes, plans, and ideas. It makes sense that you taste lousy."
During the altercation, Usagi had transformed into Sailor Moon and got Naru out of the way of the fight.
After feeling her nose, Uranus looked at the blood on her glove. "It looks like we'll have to teach you two a lesson."
Neptune stood up and joined Uranus. "Let's see if you can take out combined attack."
"Deep Submerge!"
"World Shaking!"
The two Makendo shouted out in unison, "Kendo Ho!"
The blue and gold ringed spheres merged into a single green sphere. While the red and blue bolts fired by the Makendo merged into single purple bolt. The two combined attacks hit each other and a massive explosion was caused. Sailor Moon shielded Naru from the blast, whereas the two Makendo used the explosion to leap up and towards their opponents. Hikari did a flying kick to Michiru's chest, which sent her flying several meters. Hikari jumped after Neptune and preformed a pile driver on Michiru. The elder Makendo landed in front of Sailor Uranus.
Mai called out, "Butterfly attack!"
Within a second, Haruka was hit over one hundred times by Mai's shinai. Mai and Hikari stood waiting for a second. The two Outer Senshi's eyes rolled up and they passed out.
"Let's get to Spirit Police Headquarters," Mai said.
Hikari held up the Space Sword and Deep Aqua Mirror. "What do we do with these?"
"Leave them here," Sailor Moon said. "Those items belong to them. I'm not going to descend to their level."
Hikari tossed the talismans against the wall of the building as hard as she could. "Tough mirror. It won't break."
Still a little shell-shocked by the fight, Naru asked, "Spirit Police Headquarters? Do you know Detective Doro?"
"He's the one we're working for," Hikari said.
Mai sighed and rolled her eyes upward. "Do you recall asking Doro if there was some way you could defend yourself?"
Naru nodded.
"Well, he took it seriously. You're going to be offered the chance to fight really weird things in really ridiculous clothing."
"Our outfits aren't that bad, big sister," Hikari said.
The two Makendo led the way and opened a portal to the Spirit World. Sailor Moon and Naru closely followed.
Naru looked at Sailor Moon. "Usagi, we have a lot to tlak about."

The Inner Senshi called an impromptu meeting. Rei, Luna, and Artemis attended via communicator.
"Uranus and Neptune are following Usagi," Makoto said.
Ami replied, "I really don't think those two will risk anything in front of Naru and those two strange girls."
Luna asked, "Who were the two girls. Tsurugino Mai and her sister?"
"Yes. How did you know?" Ami said.
"Mai showed up at the house today. I felt something weird about her."
Minako said, "We have to follow Usagi. There is still a chance that they might do something."
The three Sailor Senshi present started running in the direction that Haruka and Michiru went.
Mianko looked around. "Where are they?"
A massive explosion shook the air and the three turned towards the sound of the blast.
"It looks like they did do something after all," Makoto said. "Hurry up."
The three girls dashed towards the sound and came upon the fight scene. They were stunned to see Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune lying near what looked like a bomb crater. Sailor Neptune was lying next to a hole that was a just a fraction wider than her head. The Space Sword and Deep Aqua Mirror were lying next to the building. Ami pulled out her computer and did some readings.
"The two of them are okay, although heavily battered," Ami said.
Minako snarled, "Let's get them out of here. If the police find them here, it will ruin our good name."
Makoto picked up the two Senshi, as Ami retrieved the talismans. Minako led the girls to a secluded area. She took the talismans from Ami and put them down.
"Put them here, Makoto. We'll leave the talismans with them. The humiliation should suffice for now."
Makoto dropped the bodies with a thud. She whistled, as she saw the faces of the two Outer Senshi.
"Someone gave those two a great fight. I wish I had seen it," Makoto said.
"We'll deal with that later," Mianko said. "Let's get out of here and find Usagi."
