Messin' With 40k: Science Fiction (ooh ooh ooh) Double Feature [Episode 142737]

Toltiir laughed as he decided how to finish off this bunch of jackasses he was assembling. He knew just the three to bring in. The group needed a couple of red shirts as well as a warrior who was a master of ranged combat.

He knew just the people…

- Abandoned Robot Factory - Light City - Earth – 21XX -

Megaman X was not a happy Reploid. In fact he felt the need to kick himself in his rear quarters. He always made the same mistake when ever the combat died down. He always would downgrade himself to his normal, non-combatant level… And sure enough, every time he did someone would start another accursed war. He always knew it was a bad idea, but he did it anyways, he just was never comfortable walking around, equipped to the bare with enough firepower to blow up a major city. He was not a war machine!

X sighed as he dodged a particle blast and returned fire with his X-Buster, disintegrating a low level Maverick. Why was he doomed to constantly fight? He hated violence. Either by coincidence or design, his dream was the same of his creator, the brilliant Dr. Light, the father of modern robotics: to help create a utopia where all sentient being could live together in peace and prosperity.

He could not help but think back to the stories of the original Megaman, the first 'blue bomber', a robot constructed to defend humanity against Dr. Willy, a madman who wished to use robots to take over the world.

It was just so much simpler then; even Megaman who had an amazing degree of independence was not truly sentient. He was still bound by his programming, as were all robots. X was the first Reploid, the genesis of his kind… and at time he regretted it. All the wars, all the conflicts he had fought in were not the creation of a man. The Willy Wars, as they had become called during his 100 year nap, was a war between a megalomaniacal mad man and a humanitarian genius… a series of proxy battles fought by robots by two great minds for the fate of the world. His war was a battle between Reploids started by Reploids with humanity in the middle.

X dashed through the open doorway to the side room and blasted two Maverick's before they could bring their weapons to ready.

Sometimes he regretted his creation. His existence was what allows this madness to start. Before the creation of Reploids, there had been peace. There hadn't been a robot insurrection since the death of Dr. Willy… and now? Near constant carnage.

It was not fair!

"I have been waiting for you, X. It has been a long one…"

Megaman X scowled and looked at the funny looking Reploid before him.

"Then I'm sorry to have kept you waiting for so long…."

The Reploid shrugged. "Don't worry, I'm patient. I don't mind."

Megaman sighed. "Do we really have to fight? I don't want to be your enemy."

The Reploid nodded. "Unfortunately, we must. I do not wish to fight you either, but in war you cannot just pick and choose your enemies."

The Reploid fell into a battle stance. "I am Temporal Turtle, and you are no match for me."

X readied his buster. This did not look like an easy fight.

At once, both fired. The bolts from X's Buster struck Temporal Turtle in the torso, but the damage did nothing beyond scratching his finish. He'd have to aim more carefully… Unfortunately for X, that was easier said than done because the turtle's beams were fast.

X dodged, and weaved, and ducked the beams, but eventually one struck him…

For a second X was frozen in mid air, unable to move, and then, suddenly, he was sucked through a rift in space time.

Temporal Turtle gawked at the special before him and glanced down to the Time Crusher mounted on his arm. It was not supposed to do that…

Toltiir cackled. One down, and two to go…

- F City - F Prefecture - Japan - 2005 -

Excel, Hyatt, and their little pet dog/emergency ration, Menchi were walking about as peacefully down the street as Excel's hyperactivity, and Hyatt's habit of dieing at random allowed…

While Toltiir liked to make the rifts he used to suck his 'contestants' back in time not look too suspicious, in the case of these two loons, it really didn't matter… with them the totally fucked up was the rule, so he just opened a rabbit hole beneath them and et them fall through.

For a moment he considered if he should get Elgala too… but he was not sure.

He could always decided later and just retroactively lock her in a maintenance crawlspace for a few weeks….
