Hmmmmmmmmm.
Silver light, silver bright...
Chiba Usagi blinked. She was not crying. Nada.
Mama
No don't do that, she never really existed, remember? (Though Usagi her bratty not-sister might have. There was no way to know, at least not now..)
It took her a while to realize it was actually somebody's hair, shining in the dimming light.
...A boy, she decided, after she managed to clamber over the remains of the truck and whatever it had been carrying. About 7 or so, maybe. The clothes he was wearing--pretty damn good clothes, and she knew about things like that, even though there were all grimy and ripped now--were the clincher, as he was almost too pretty to tell, dirt and blood and all...
And he was still in the land of the living, oddly enough. His aura still fluttered and sang to her, though not at all strongly.
Though that could soon change...
She wished she didn't have to do this now, but there wasn't any choice. Not if she didn't want to just leave the boy here to his fate, anyhow...
And she didn't feel that was a good idea, somehow.
But healing anything was just so tiring, damnit!
Maybe she could get away with just fixing up the worst parts, and feeding him some energy. She had the nagging feeling she was going to have to carry him, anyway...Or else, he was going to have to carry her. Nope, no full healing for you, kiddo...At least not now.
And now...to the difficult part.
A rather long time afterwards, a tired, grimy Chiba Usagi managed to catch hold of a thought that had been fluttering at the edge of her mind for a while.
And with much difficulty, pulled out her purse.
...Ahh, well.
The man on the coin looked handsome and noble indeed, the traditional long hair and all, but...
...What the hell. In was too late to think deep thoughts, anyhow.
She curled down on the hard ground next to the kid,( who was breathing better at least, thank goodness) and slept.
And at the Spa At The End Of Time...
All was silent.
