"Who goes first?"
"Me, then."
One of the two identical Pluto's cleared her throat.
"I'm a Pluto and my name is Setsuna."
"Likewise."
"Me, too, I'm afraid..."
"Damn, does that means I'm the only one who isn't a Setsuna?"
The definitely younger-looking Pluto quipped.
"My name is Sena. Pleasedtomeecha."
"...Likewise, Sena." "Yup." "Me too."
"...So, teacakes, everyone?"
"--So just what were you looking for, Sena-chan?"
"Cut the "chan", I get enough of that from almost everybody I meet. Seriously. Hmmm...I thought it was about this nexus...
Kaiou Michiru stared. And gulped.
She was not having a good day. At all.
"Whaa-- Haruka, you just went in and kidnapped that child? You can't do that!"
But she had, of course. Michiru looked at the eyes peering out of her from under the filthy blanket, and groaned.
"Rescued, Michiru, rescued. Come on, it was a clear-cut case of child abuse, pure and simple. --Come on, you don't really believe that superstitious drivel about the child needing to be miserable so everybody else in the City can be happy, do you?"
"...Well, no, of course not, but it's not a matter of what we believe, Haruka. It's what the people of the City believe! ...And I don't really believe it or anything, but what if it was true or something?"
Haruka and her...impulsiveness...
Well, she did at least have the grace to look somewhat bashful. A little. A very little. "...Well, let's go ask Setsuna, then. If it's some contract with evil forces, we could figure something out, right? Or we could talk to Ami-chan or Rei-chan or Usagi-chan or..."
--It was bloody hopeless, that's what it was...
"All right, Haruka, but let's talk to Setsuna first, OK?"
And let's get out of here before a lynch mob comes or something...Not that you'd ever think about something like that, Haruka.
Michiru sighed. Oh, well. That was just Haruka all over...
And she did love her for it, after all.
"...Nope, that wasn't quite it. Where, where...Ahhh"
None of the four noticed that a newcomer had come through the door...
