Silver Restrike: Changes [Episode 143033]

Usagi brought her brooch up and stared hard at the golden crystal that represented Earth's soldier: Mamoru Chiba. She took a deep breath and steeled herself.

"Mamo-chan? I need to talk to you." Usagi said.

The golden crystal lit up and the ghostly image of Tuxedo Mask stood in front of her.

"Usako. What do you want?"

Even though her heart was breaking, she pressed on. "Tuxedo Mask. You. The you from this time needs to help the others out. I'm not going to be in any danger. I..."

With tears streaming down her eyes, Usagi whispered, "I don't know what to do."

"I understand what you are asking of me, Usako. At this point in time, I was suffering dreams and nightmares. I also had a split personality. Tuxedo Mask only appeared when you were in danger. I was unaware of those actions. I can alter the dreams somewhat that if any of the Sailor Senshi fall, you'll be put in danger."

Usagi whispered, "I won't be, but everyone else.... I'm not strong enough to go through that again."

"It is done. They have yet to face a Youma. Until next time."

The gold crystal dimmed, as Tuxedo Mask faded away.

Usagi finally let her emotions go and cried herself to sleep. Like the previous day, she woke up early and gazed at her face in a mirror.

'How long can I keep dreaming about the death of everyone?'

Usagi shook her head and got ready for school. Her parents were shocked that Usagi managed to get up two days in a row without needing to rush. Usagi ate her breakfast and walked to school. Under the bright sun, she was able to push her problems to the back of her mind. Seeing an alert Usagi was a novelty for Miss Haruna. So much so that she forgot to hand out any homework. School ended and Usagi headed home.

'I need to get my mind off Galaxia. Simple things,' Usagi thought.

She looked around and felt the emptiness of her room without Luna. Her eyes finally fell on her schoolbooks and she sighed.

'Only because I can't think of anything else to do right now,' she thought, as she opened the book and started studying.

During the night, Mamoru Chiba had a strange dream. The shadowy image of a woman appeared before him. He was standing on the ground and looking up at the balcony of a silver palace. He was wearing some sort of armor and the woman was wearing a white dress. Of her face, he could not discern any clues.

"A battle is coming. You must be strong," the woman said. "Help the warriors that will appear become stronger as well."

"Who are you?" Mamoru asked.

"The Moon Princess. You need to become stronger as do those other warriors if you, all of you, are to survive and spare me the pain."

"What pain?"

Before he could get an answer, Mamoru woke up and got dressed for the day. He thought about the dream and rubbed his forehead.

"That was odd. Moon Princess?" Mamoru muttered to himself.

After getting dressed, his eyes fell on a star shaped music box. Picking up the box, he opened it and let the tune play. Normally, the song would have relaxed him. Today was different.

"Become stronger? Help warriors that will appear?"

Mamoru put the music box in his pocket and left for his classes. He managed to get through the day without too much trouble, but the dream still bothered him.

_______________________________________________________________________ At the Hikawa Shrine, Rei Hino was still having a hard time accepting what had happened last night. An indigo beam shot up from her home and a talking cat appeared. Luna had given Rei a wand that she was supposed to use to turn into Sailor Mars. Rei had stuck a spirit ward on Luna and tried to exorcise the evil spirit that had possessed the cat. That did not work at all, and just caused the cat to laugh a bit.

Seeing that the elder Hino was gone, Luna came out and said, "You still haven't used the transformation pen. It won't bite you."

"There are no monsters. What do I need it for?"

"Not yet at any rate," Luna countered. "You also need to find the Moon Princess."

"I'll do a fire reading to show the future," Rei said, shaking her head. "I doubt that I have anything to worry about."

The silhouette of a winged angel surrounded by nine points of light appeared in the flames. All Rei could tell was that the angel was female and crying. The image pulled back to show a ruined Tokyo and quickly faded.

"Huh? That was strange. I saw something. I'm not sure what."

"What did you see?" Luna asked.

Rei told of her vision and Luna thought about it.

Luna said, "Maybe the vision was telling you that if you don't fight, everything will be destroyed."

"Maybe," Rei said hesitantly. "But, I haven't seen any monsters yet."

"Yet. They are out there."

Rei looked at the pen and sighed heavily. "If I encounter a monster, I'll use it."

"I guess that is the best I can hope for," Luna said.

Rei went to school and thought about the vision all day. After returning home, she did her homework. Once she finished that, she pulled out her transformation pen and stared at it. She headed back to the shrine to do another fire reading.

'If I ask what will happen if I use this, I may get some clue as to what to do.'

She cast her augury and saw the angel image again. This time, eighteen points of light surrounded the angel and the various glows were holding back darkness from hitting Tokyo.

'The image makes no sense. Apparently, I will have to fight if I want to get to the bottom of this,' Rei thought, as she sat back.

At the Time Gates, Sailor Pluto saw the image of Crystal Tokyo crack and shattered. She tried tracking the cause to its source. The view of the Time Gates swept out past Earth and into the outer areas of the solar system. The view pointed into deep space, beyond the outer asteroid belt surrounding the solar system. Sailor Pluto then set the gates to view the future, but got only gray mist. Closing the Time Gates, Pluto left them and reappeared in Castle Charon on Pluto. She then looked out a window in her castle into the vastness of empty space.

"What happened out there? I guess I can head to Japan to take some time off. The future is a total unkmown now."
