"Yes! We have been sent to this distant part of space as a test of our loyalty to Il Palazzo!" Excel exclaimed. "We shall conquer this galaxy in the name of ACROSS! No threat will be too great! No enemy to deadly! Be it zealots, soldiers, supermen, evil robots, aliens, big nasty bugs, barbaric savages, or the legions of hell… it does not matter… nothing will stand before us and the aims of ACROSS!"
Hyatt stood behind her, looking into space for moment, and then keeled over stone dead.
Sitting at the door to this strange new place Menchi scratched at the door. The little puppy wanted away from these freaks. She didn't want to be an emergency ration! She wanted to live; be a pampered pet… it was all that she wished with her little puppy heart. Please god, let this door be opened and grant me salvation!
And thus, god was merciful, and her wish was granted.
The door opened and Menchi was not one to waste the opportunity. She jumped through the crack with all her strength, right into the arms of a morose looking redhead.
"What the?" Kiva exclaimed.
"Hey Kiva," Coop remarked. "I think the doggie likes you."
Kiva looked down at Menchi whose tail was waving wildly and whose eyes sparkled with hope.
"Well this is one of the life sign readings…"
"I'm less worried about the dog and more about the DEAD GIRL!" Jamie exclaimed.
"What?!" Kiva responded. She looked into the room, to where Hyatt was laying, and Excel was still ranting wildly.
In a flash she bolted over. "There's no pulse…"
"Oh…" Hyatt moaned.
"Oh my god!" Jamie screamed, "She's a zombie! Cut her head off."
Hyatt looked at Kiva and smiled. "Hello…" She pulled on her hyperactive teammates pant leg. "Excel-senpai…"
Excel turned around. "Who are you?"
"Hey," Coops responded, "This is MY robot so you tell me… who are you
"I am Excel and this is Hyatt…" she looked at the puppy hiding in the doorway, and added, "And that’s Menchi, our emergency food supply."
"Emergency food supply…" Kiva deadpanned.
"Jeeze, even Coop wouldn't eat a dog…"
"Sure I would" Coop though to himself, "Hotdogs, corndogs…"
"Real dogs?" Jamie added.
"Oh heck no!"
"So how did you get on Megas?" Kiva asked Excel.
"We were walking down the street," Excel stated, "and then we fell through a temporal vortex and ended up here…."
