"Welcome to P3R-272, where the temperature is a lovely... room temperature." Jack winced at his own joke. Funny, it sounded better when he'd rehearsed it. Oh well.
Daniel sniffed the air. "That's odd. The room clearly hasn't been disturbed in ages but there's no smell of dust. No musty air smell either."
"I am getting no radar signal off the material of this chamber," Teal'c observed.
"Completely radar absorbant?" Jack asked, seeing immediate uses for such a thing. "We're gonna have to bookmark this site."
"You have radar?" asked Samantha Carter.
"Hmmmm, interesting," said Daniel, looking over some inscriptions.
"Nothing on infrared either," said Teal'c.
"You have infrared?" asked Samantha Carter.
"No radiation either," continued Teal'c.
"You have a radiation detector?" asked Samantha Carter.
Jack rapped on a wall. "I'd guess that the walls are of some dampening material. We're not paste so it obviously isn't neutronium or some other ultra-high density material... why are you looking at me like that?"
Teal'c very kindly reached over and lifted Sam's jaw back into place.
Jack shrugged. "Hmmm. Wonder what this hole's for? Maybe something like the old turn-of-the-century movie viewers?"
Sam continued to stare at Jack. Ever since they'd gotten over their illnesses she'd begun feeling like a kid sidekick. Jack had even begun treating her like she was a little slow. "Why not stick your head in it, sir?"
Jack shrugged. Why not indeed?
