Lab Days - Bishieman: Mental Download [Episode 145450]

There didn't seem to be anything wrong with the idea in and of itself, as Jack could see that there was nothing that appeared to be a danger at all. He knew that there were all sorts of dangerous items out on the planets that they were travelling to, but he couldn't see anything wrong with a simple hole in the wall. Heck, there were guys who loved to see such things, especially at places around girls' locker rooms.

But he wasn't about to just do nothing, and so he stood as closely as he could to the thing, and looked inside. "See? Wow. A lot of nothing."

"Really, sir?" Carter asked.

"Pretty much. Nothing more than some lights."

"Hmm... That does seem odd."

"But also pleasantly useless," he replied... just a pair of restraints snapped around his head, and forced him to stay there, as the flashes grew larger, faster, and in all sorts of shades. At first he fought it, and was trying to hold himself away as best he could, but in the matter of seconds, he wasn't able to even really move.

"Sir!"

"He appears to be stuck fast in the device," Teal'c commented.

"I know, but we have to figure out a way to get him out of there!"

Walter Harriman sighed. "It looks like Colonel O'Neil's been hurt."

"Again?"

"Again."

"Job's dangerous."

"And people ask me why I don't fight to go in the field."

O'Neill groaned as he tried not to close his eyes against the light being shined into them. "Doc? I'm fine."

"I know that you are, but even if you're in perfect health, I'm supposed to make certain that nothing isn't hiding to get you later," Doctor Fraiser replied as she put her penlight away.

"Yeah, but that whole light thing is annoying. Why is it that you guys always have to use those things?"

"Because they are annoying, and make patients more alert."

"Figured it had to be something like that."

"At least you're okay," Carter commented, but then frowned as she turned to other woman. "He is okay, isn't he?"

Janet gave a little shrug. "As far as I can tell? Sure. Nothing beyond a need to take a little rest."

"That's good. It's too bad that we didn't get anything from the mission..." Daniel began.

Jack snorted. "Cruvis."

"What was that?"

"'Cruvis'. It means 'wrong', right?"

Everyone else just stopped and stared at him.

"What?"

"I do believe that we have something interesting happening," Teal'c commented, while:
