Then the moment of romance was split most loudly by the sound of a lightning bolt striking near the couple and sending both diving for cover.
They cautiously looked up as no second blast came and Peorth found what she expected.
"Congratulations to Peorth, Goddess First Class, and Ranma Saotome, Hero of Legend, on their marriage. Please send a date to the office as to when the ceremony will take place so that concerned parties might attend. As to other regards, this is to inform Peorth that she is now assigned to Earth until such time as Ranma Saotome either joins the Einheriar (upon his Earthly death) or otherwise ascends to heaven (Father is betting on the "otherwise"). Again congratulations and may you have many, many children and a happy eternity!"
"Oh dear," Peorth said. "Uh...do you think they'd let us stay here for a little while?"
