That was something that she never understood, as she'd been fenced in for as long as she could remember. Ever since she'd been found as a baby, she'd been kept there in order to protect her from something, but it had the effect of making her alone among her neighbors. After all, it was hard to be a part of things when one couldn't go off camping, hunting or even playing. Out of all the children, she alone was protected and coddled, which in a village with a rich warrior tradition and ethic, was not something to be proud of.
She was alone, and that was something that she couldn't quite handle. Sure, she had a deep and abiding affection for those around her, but she was also aware that she was sort of apart from things. Everyone else had a purpose in life, and could group up as was normal in the village. But for her, there would be no giggling about instructors, practicing together, or doing badly in lore classes, no matter how much she wanted it.
There wasn't a single villager who wasn't aware that there was something different about her, and it was clear that if she had to be protection for her, then there had to be some reason for it, not that she saw any reason for it. And much as she felt isolated, she didn't want to cause any trouble for anyone else. All she wanted to do was to experience life, make friends, and have fun.
If she went out with this boy, then she'd be able to go further than the village boundaries. She'd be able to see life and experience things without people trying to treat her like fragile porcelain. Being an abandoned baby wasn't all that bad, and she felt thankful towards everyone else for caring for her, but she was feeling stifled in a village where she was going to be alone like that.
Besides, she couldn't see anything wrong with going on a simple trip, and then coming back later.
"Is this the area?" the tall man in the white robes asked.
One of the black robed figures with him nodded.
"Good. Finally, we have found where the Scrapped Princess has been hiding. Finally, the threat to all that our Church has done will be vanquished. Her power of death will not be used."
None of the black robed figures even moved, but it was clear that they agreed with him.
"She shall die, and with her gone, the danger to the world of our great god will be gone. Have the agents gone forth as they were instructed."
Another nod came from a black clad figure.
"Then we wait, and prepare for her death," the leader of the group murmured as he turned and looked over the mountainous area where the assassins were travelling through, while:
