"What do we do now, sir?" commented an officer as some of the cars took off in pursuit of the ones that had gotten away.
Blinking in confusion, another officer shrugged. "Is this even covered in the regulations."
"You'd be surprised what you could find in the police rulebook in this town," the sergeant in charge commented. "Now, arrest that suspect and hold onto the kids for questioning."
"Sarge?"
"We don't know what the hell is going on here, so we play it safe. Someone, clear this place, and somebody get a handle on these kids!"
"Do you have to do that?" asked a teller.
"Huh?"
"They saved us!"
"What are you talking about?"
A customer nodded. "They took on the crooks without thinking of themselves!"
"Did they now?"
"And they protected the people here from the attack."
"I..."
"They were really cool!" a little boy declared. "One of them ran really fast, and the others zapped him but good!"
"You really..."
"They did catch this one, and delayed the others," an older man who had to be the bank president because he was standing next to a picture of the person in said position said.
"Maybe they..."
"They're heroes!" declared one woman, and loud sounds of agreement came from some of the others.
"I know..."
"Now one of the crooks is here, and the others are being chased by you cops," commented an office lady.
"We..."
"And I would have gotten away with it too, if it hadn't been for those damn kids!" grumbled Gunman A.
"I really should have taken that transfer," the sergeant sighed. "I could have gone to Nerima or Juuban...."
Genma looked all of this over and hung his head in shame. The children were not supposed to be playing 'hero' like this, but they insisted on doing so. Their training, which was really supposed to be Ranma's, should have been filled with back breaking ordeals and edgy works that would have left the locals displeased so that this way they'd have to get toughened up. Instead, the girls and Ranma were making a rather happy little 'club', which he didn't want to call it a 'family' or something more 'emotional', that softened the boy, and made them spectacles when they should have been keeping a low profile so that this way the journey could be focused on.
Rather than that, there were kitten girls getting rubbed behind their ears, and human looking ones blushing at the compliments they were getting.
He didn't know where things had gone wrong and lamented that they had, while:
