The getaway car was only to go a short distance. Mainly it would provide a change of clothing and then they'd dump it and the masks, blending into the crowds before taking the train to the next station. There they had another car waiting, and a quick trip to another city where they could wait out the heat before spending the money.
Every detail had been planned out in advance. Japan had a death penalty after all - and a hangman's noose was not the fate they wanted to face. Of course, that was unlikely considering their crimes so far.
"STOP RIGHT THERE!"
Gunman A shot without thinking about it, then turned white underneath his mask. He'd shot a kid?!
"EEEK!" said the little girl, barely stopping the bullet as it was now floating an inch away from her forehead.
"Grrrr, FIREBOLT!" declared a girl with fox-ears and a tail as she brought one fist forward as if throwing a punch. Red flame responded and shot past the gunman.
FWOOOOM! went the firebolt, leaving a scorched trail across the getaway vehicle.
"MONSTERS!" declared Gunman A, taking aim at the fire-hurler.
"Oh yeah?! TAKE THIS! FIST OF JUSTICE!" said a tennis-shoe wearing cheetaun as she closed the distance with surprising speed and punched the guy as hard as she could. Of course she was so short she had to hit him in the kneecap, but you had to take what you could get.
"What the heck are you doing?!" yelled Gunman B, who hadn't lost sight of the Plan. Since a good part of the plan had been getting away with the loot, he saw delays as what they were - a chance to fail.
"I'm being attacked by monsters!" yelled back Gunman A, holding the cheetaun off with one hand as she windmilled arms to try and whack him again.
"Little kids playing, kick her butt and get in the car!" yelled out the driver, who'd been watching.
CHOMP!
Gunman A looked down to find his hand was now being bitten by the little girl with the cheetah markings. Then the pain hit. "AHHHHH!"
"Get him!" commanded Ranma to his team, seeing Gunman A trying to get a bead on Haruka with his gun.
"Lullaby," said Michiru the Siren, playing her harp.
"Firebolt," attacked Rei again.
"Taser Zap!" said the Nerdette with a handmade electrical discharge device.
"Leave him!" said Gunman B to the Driver.
"WHAT?!" yelled Gunman A as he heard that and the doors slamming.
WHAK! WHAM! WHOP! FWOOM! KZAAAAP!
THUD!
Policecars came racing up, narrowly missing the departure of the rest of the bank robbers.
"We caught this one!" said Ranma proudly, his girls doing "sentai poses" around him.
