"Yeah," he said, smiling wanly. "Though, there was a really harsh test first." He shuddered slightly.

"I imagine so," Kasumi said sympathetically. Then, from the card, she read, "'Saotome Ranma: Independent J.S.D.F. Agent'." She paused, and slid the card across the table, back to him. He snatched it up, but to his eyes, it was still the gold, faintly glowing 'Hero potentate of the Ages' card.

"Yeah," he said, shrugging, and pocketing the card. Chances were, different people would see it as different things. Best to avoid showing it too much. "But it's a secret," he warned.

"I won't tell a soul," Kasumi promised, smiling. "So, what are you planning on doing now?"

"Hmm," Ranma mused, considering.

• Time to 'go to bed early' to hit up the datacube.
• A quick talk with Akane should patch things up nicely.
• It's been a long day. Some sleep could be just the thing.
• This conversation had gone interrupted long enough -- time for a barbarian invasion! (Or maybe just Happosai)
• Ranma gets a call on the Celestial Cellular.
• Everyone's favorite: Something Else!
