But the glowing ball chasing after him was a new thing.
"Growf!" he cried out as he ran leaping through the market area.
The people in front of him were not ones to ignore possible trouble, but they still got the 'deer in the headlights stare'.
Both the panda and the ball zipped around them, ducking and weaving around the area. People were nearly trampled, stalls were wrecked, and chaos reigned. But Genma didn't care. He had a glowing pursuer, and he wanted to keep on breathing, or at least still have a tail in the morning, as he was in danger of losing it as the ball came close enough to warm his behind.
So, he grabbed his backside with both hands, managed to put out the panda version of a yelp, and charged straight forward... incidentally knocking Yuka into a fruit cart.
Sayuri glanced at the sight of the rapidly departing panda, and then at her friend. "It looks like you should have listened to me today... UMPH!"
Not even looking at where she'd stuck an apple in her friend's mouth, Yuka tossed a coin to the vendor, and stalked off with her shoulders rigid with annoyance.
The first thing that Soun noticed was the massive headache he had, and then the aches that his body held made their presence known right afterwards. "Yes, she knows, and is not very happy with you."
"Good. Now, all I have to do is to get Ranma. I'll be back and we'll have the wedding then."
"If you say so...."
"I do. I'll be back," her father told her, and charged off.
"He is a strange man, that he is," Kenshin murmured.
"Father does have his moments," Kasumi replied. "More tea, Mister Kenshin?"
"That would be appreciated, much thanks."
"It's so nice of Father to bring company though. I do so enjoy the chance to share a nice visit, and I've met two nice men already. Maybe he'll bring another this time."
"With what he's been doing? That he would."
"Do they have women where he got you from too?"
"That there are. Perhaps he could bring you a female friend whose company you could enjoy, could he not?"
"That would be so wonderful," the young woman replied, clapping her hands together in delight.
"You would enjoy that, would you not?"
"I am certain that I would. But would you like some more cake?"
The swordsman smiled back at her. "That I would, most certainly. You are a good cook, Miss Kasumi."
"Why, thank you," she replied with a blush, while:
