Another thing Sango had never had before was this particular flavor. Chocolate. Fudge Ripple to be exact.
Had this been an old American cartoon, she would have floated up to the ceiling, drifted back down to floor like a feather, and given forth the sort of satisfied "aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh" that a later generation might have guessed was simply the result of mindblowing sex. In this case they would be completely wrong, but perhaps there was something close involved.
As an elf, her senses were more acute. She would later discover her sense of taste was more geared towards delicate flavors and subtle textures. Being hit with Fudge Ripple was her introduction to ice cream, to chocolate, and to western decadence in a small chilled bowl.
She ate slowly, savoring every bit of the treat. What a pity they didn't have this back home.
sniffle
"I'm the one who should be crying," said Miroku as he applied one of the bandages Kagome had left behind. "I'm the one who found that young woman was actually a shapeshifting dragon. She certainly has a healthy punch..."
"I just feel," said a plaintive foxboy, "as if I'm missing out on something special."
"I'm the one missing out on something special," complained Miroku, remembering the glimpse he'd had when he'd accidently removed the girl's kimono. It really had been an accident too. Honest!
Sango sat back, the emptied bowl to the side. Ahhhhhhhh bliss.
Okay, the place still smelled pretty awful. Not as bad as some villages did. There were a lot of strange things all around. Yet Sango thought she saw some of the appeal. No wonder Kagome was always ready to return home at a moment's notice.
The elf stirred herself after a few contented moments. What else did this strange new world offer?
"Rastil mastil magister," began Negi.
"Aw no you don't. You go trying to fix something with magic, and you know what usually happens."
FWOMPF!
"MY UNIFORM!"
"Oops."
"This is exactly what happens!"
"Ahhhh! I'm so sorry!"
