"It's nice to met you," Aeka answered politely. "I am Aeka, and this ill mannered layabout is Ryoko."
"Hey!" Ryoko barked.
"Hmm?"
"Humph. Like I care what you think about me. What I'd like to know is why she's here to see the old guy anyway."
"Don't you believe Lord Tenchi?"
"Of course I do! It's just... I can't see why she would want to stop over to see him, that's all."
"Oh, I didn't want to," Kagome told them.
"Huh?"
"You see, my family has a shrine over in Tokyo, and my grandfather is the priest there. He needed to contact the priest here for some shrine business, but he couldn't come here himself, so he sent me."
"Oh, dear. Is he alright?" Aeka asked.
"I'm sure that he is. Knowing him, he just told me that he was too old and busy just so that he could get out of travelling all this way."
"Sounds like he and Gramps might get along...." Tenchi sighed.
"If you say so."
"Shouldn't we get going then?"
"Alright."
"But, just to make certain, you aren't going to go after my Tenchi, are you?" the spiky haired woman questioned.
"Of course not! I have more on my plate than just chasing after guys!"
"That's good to hear."
The teenaged girl smiled weakly and tried not to let a forced chuckle escape. 'If they only knew what I go through. And knowing Inu Yasha, he's probably already hanging around here somewhere....'
"Is something wrong?"
"No! Nothing! I was just lost in thought for a moment. But what I really should be doing is going to see the priest."
"Exactly. Get what you have to do done as soon as possible, I say," Ryoko responded in an agreeable tone. "In fact, I'll help you see him."
"Guests deserve to be guided by hosts who are polite," Aeka commented primly.
"I am being polite!"
"You?! Be polite?! Please!"
"Look who's talking, Princess Big Mouth!"
"'Big Mouth'?! How dare you?!"
"What's the matter? A little too much starch on your panties this morning?"
Squeezing her hands into fists, the purple haired girl actually growled. "Why you little..."
"Can't hear you.... And you're the one who's little...."
"How dare you?!"
"Easy. I open my mouth and tell the truth. Really wide."
"Well then! Let me help open it wider!"
"Get off of my mouth!" Ryoko got out, which was not a simple thing, as her cheeks were being pulled and she was trying to do the same thing to the princess.
Kagome blinked at them. "Do they do this often?"
"Unfortunately," Tenchi sighed, hanging his head, "you might say that...."
"How interesting...."
"Tell me about it."
Wondering how a temple could be like this, Kagome watched the fight get really started, while:
