"I still don't understand why it had to be me." He growled.
"He knew the kid's father, apparently. I guess you kinda reminded the old man of this kid?" Dr. Jackson closed his magazine and squinted towards the terminals. "You know what the boy looks like?"
"Yeah." Mitchell glared at the archaeologist. "And why are you here again?"
"No reason." Daniel looked away, studying the patterns on the wall.
"You know something, don't you." Mitchell grimaced. "Doc. Spill it."
"Ah." Daniel scratched the back of his head. "That must be him."
Mitchell looked back towards the gate. He saw the pigtailed teen pull his way through the departing passengers, a green army duffle high above the short kid's head.
"Great."
The wind ruffled Ranma's hair in the red convertible. He shifted a little, trying to work out the kinks from the long flight...and the cold shoulder.
"Are you two in the Army or the Navy?" Ranma ventured.
"Airforce," Mitchell glared back at the teen through his wraparound shades.
"I'm actually not part of the military." Daniel glanced at Mitchell, then back towards Ranma with a pained expression on his face, "I just work for them.
"Sergeant Anderson said I'd meet someone I used to know when I got here." Ranma mumbled.
"We're taking you too him." Mitchell growled.
Ranma sauntered through the fresh cut grass in the park. He felt the two strange men following a few feet behind. What the hell was going on here?
"Well, if it isn't the Little Horse." Ranma turned to the gravelly voice. General Hank Landry grinned back, sitting at a wooden picnic table. "Care for a hotdog, son?"
"Sensei!" Ranma beamed.
