"Well, I'm certain there's more than enough to go around," Kasumi decided.
"No, that's not wha-- Wooo! Wait, I, I'm not--" Ranma's further protests were silenced with another exuberant kiss, but now that the girls were working in tandem, and he could feel fingers working their way into his shirt, his brain seemed content to take a nap. No, he thought furiously, bringing himself back under control. He didn't want to be like his father and just turn off his brain because -- whoa, Kasumi's about to spill out of that top....
And, hey, wasn't Ucchan wearing a top of her own over that unraveling chest binding? When had Kodachi found the time to strip down to her leotard, and why was he only wearing his boxers?
The three girls broke off momentarily to smile at him, and he bounced away, shaking his head. "Can't we just talk?" he asked hopefully, not realizing where he was standing.
"Oh, Ranma-sama," Kodachi said warningly, taking a few steps towards him. "I really think that--"
"No, I think we should talk," Ranma said, slipping back another step, and putting his foot directly into the Kuno manor's single most painfully obvious trap. The rope closed about his ankle, and he quickly found himself dangling upside-down from a tree limb. "Gah!" Ranma looked at the choir of tiny birds and forest creatures lining the branch, weighing it down so that he was accessible to the girls instead of dangling over their heads. "Uh-oh...."
A thrown spatula liberated him, and then-- *Glomp!*
Sighing in defeat, he whimpered, "I really wanted to talk, though."
Pouting, all three girls broke off, and sat down in a rough circle around him, before sharing a giggle. "What would you like to discuss?" Kasumi asked, beaming Ranma a smile so bright he momentarily found himself at a loss for words.
"Um, er, gaaaah," he sputtered blankly, before he could control his tongue again. "I mean ... um ... isn't this ... this is what Akane always hit me for! Kissing a bunch of girls is going to get me in trouble, isn't it?"
"Happy to share, these girls appear. Blessings you should not complain of," Yoda advised serenely, as a spear hurtled through him from another trap ... or would have, if he'd been solid.
"Do you look like you're in trouble right now, Ranchan?" Ukyou asked with a wink.
He sweated nervously, glancing at the partially dressed girls. "Uh, yes," he said slowly. "I look like I'm in big trouble."
"Well, you aren't, so you shouldn't feel as though you are," Kodachi declared. "Trouble is for scheming harridans that don't know how to share. Speaking of which, will you be protecting the pigtailed girl from my brother's wicked schemes?"
"If I can help it," Ranma said dryly.
"There," Kodachi said, nodding. "I can share with her."
Ukyou and Kasumi snickered quietly.
"What?" Kodachi asked, frowning. "Has she a man of her own already?"
"Ah ... I'll explain that one later, 'Dachi. I think we've got to convince Ranchan he's not in any trouble with us, first."
"But I am!" he protested. "Akane's going to flip out and kill me!"
"Die, you shall not," Yoda said. "Protect these girls you must."
"Point," he acquiesced. "And ... it's not that I mind ... but it doesn't.... I mean, it seems to me you all deserve to be happy, not stuck with me."
"Ranma-sama, it's 'being stuck with you' that makes us happy," Kodachi murmured. "Truly, you should not concern yourself overmuch."
"Is it me?" Kasumi asked with sudden worry. "Is it because ... because I'm older? Am I unattractive to you?"
"No!" Ranma protested, jumping to his feet, and waving his hands in a warding gesture, incidentally knocking a poisoned dart into the tree he'd gotten snared in. "It's not--"
"It is!" Kasumi wailed, leaping to her feet, nearly bouncing free of her dress, and then moving to flee. Ranma tackled her to the ground as a trio of rockets passed through the air they'd been occupying, rolled across a section of lawn that opened after they passed it to reveal a seemingly bottomless pit, and then crashed into a shrub, where they were hidden from sight.
After making sure there were no traps around, Ranma helped her up. This seemed like a good time to practice that thing that had worked so well on his Ucchan and 'Dachi. So before she could try and run from him again, he gave her a hug. Let's see, right hand on the small of her back, left hand across the top of her spine, pressing against the opposite shoulder, pull her slightly towards yourself and--
He frowned as she adjusted one of his hands a bit lower, and he gave a reflexive squeeze. She giggled, and he wondered if he'd been duped, just as Ukyou and Kodachi arrived.
