New Days: What was that stuff anyway? [Episode 145677]

Then everything went black.

Akane was vaguely aware of Happosai using a net to scoop several somethings from one of the other tanks and then bounding away.

Akane was also quite aware of the air moving along slick hairless skin.

As far as she was concerned, Happosai had just done something unforgivable. Any pity she might have felt for the little monster had gone the way of her hair and dignity.

However, right now there was only one thing to do.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

Scream, cover herself, and run towards the locker room.

Shampoo found herself falling and twisted in midair, she could easily reach the lip of one of the tubs with one hand, her foot would grasp another portion and she would then be able to move to something other than whatever that bubbling green stuff was.

She did it, poised for a moment with her left hand and foot gripping the metal of the tub.

"WAAAA!" WHAM

Which was when another body slammed into her and she fell in.

Whatever it was, it wasn't water. It burned everywhere it touched and it did not transform her into a cat.

What was more concerning, even as she tried to bounce off the bottom and return to the surface, was that it seemed to be burning her inside as well as out.

Then the world was pain.

The Sports Festival had gone from "friendly competition" to a level of chaos beyond even what it normally managed.

Principal Kuno quickly divested two girls of their long hair, gave one boy a buzz cut, and otherwise cleared the way so he could get a better look. What was all this?

Happosai held the little bag. Getting ahold of that Jusenkyo Products catalog had been most intriguing. Now he had some little friends he could do all sorts of things with. One splash of hot water and she'd be back to normal but he had some fun planned in the meantime.

And Akane had looked simply wonderful. True the stuff had removed the outermost layer of skin and all her hair, but the sight of her and one of her friends rushing naked across the school - sweet.

Of course, he might have to lay low for awhile but that was something he had a lot of practice with.

Hmmm. Looked like that green goop was having some really strange effect. He hadn't expected it to:

• turn Shampoo green? Hmmm. Maybe that stuff from that government science lab hadn't been his best idea.
• partially dissolve the Chinese Amazon. Ick. Acid burns. He'd expected something called Aqua Regia to do something more royal.
• Shampoo stumbling off in a daze. Now he'll just rush off and introduce himself while she's an impressionable amnesiac and... where'd she go?
• explode into green fire. A moment later the fires die down, but what happened to Shampoo.
• something else
