Such experience made it easy to run like he had been. Back during the time that he'd been under the so called 'training' of his dread sensei, he'd been forced to carry many bulky items for long distances, many times running just ahead of a mob. Life had been so hard back then, and when he'd been going through things like that, he'd never thought that he'd actually find a use for what he got from it. But, almost as if the gods were trying to repay him for his suffering, he'd discovered that every time that he got something bulky from someone, he could carry it as quickly away as he might need to.
So, he had no concerns as he ran to the village that he'd seen in the distance.
Of course, it would have been good if he had been heading towards the right village. What he'd forgotten in his belief in himself was that he'd not been in a position to really judge how far he'd gone when he'd been going down the river. He judged it by his own perceptions, certain that a martial artist like him could keep a good enough awareness to know what was going on despite the conditions that he was in. However, he had not factored in his injuries, never mind considering the fact that he'd been too knocked around to focus on much during that time. Not that the ranchers would mind, considering the fact that they'd like their herds in one piece. And since this was just a normal village, they didn't exactly have plans for overweight martial artists bearing aged explosives rolling down hills.
But then again, even the village that he'd actually been looking for didn't have one of those.
Genma knew none of this. All he cared about at the moment was stopping, as he was dizzy, sick, and hurting. He needed to stop, and he had to do it soon. With that in mind, he tried shifting his weight to allow him to control his descent. The moment that proved to be too much of a problem, which didn't take long, he resorted to flailing about. That resulted in him heading towards a rather large rock and he desperately tried to avoid it, which actually almost worked.
He didn't hit the rock, but the crate of explosives did.
They didn't need anything else to do their sole job. In what seemed like an eternity, the crate broke open, the explosives hit, and the blast happened, for which, he was right there to get the only benefit that he'd get from them.
"WHAAAHOOHEEHEEHEEHEEHEE!" he yelled as he was launched up into the air, high over the treetops, and off into the distance, while:
