Great Will/Tribals: Genma's New Adventure [Episode 145764]

by Kestral

There was a brief whistling sound before a very large individual slammed directly into a cart filled with watermelons.

There was juice and seeds and bits of pulp decorating the immediate area. Since the immediate area was a festival stage where "Miss Remote Mountain Village" was about to be crowned, the effect was like Gallagher demonstrating the mighty "Sledge-o-matic" only more so.

"Ohhhh," groaned Genma as he stirred himself up. On seeing the crowd surrounding his landing site, he waved off the assistance of these simple mountain villagers. "I'm fine, I'm a trained martial artist. Just a training accident."

"(Anybody got some tar and feathers?)" asked one of the gowned beauty contestants.

Genma looked around. No catgirls. "Oops. Wrong village."

"(Does anyone know what language that is?)"

"Hmmmm. They're speaking that odd language." Genma considered telling these people that their concern was misplaced and he'd just be going now.

Ranma was aware on some level of feeling... safe. Warm. Comforted.

Slowly the Nekoken faded and he uncurled in his sleep. If he was aware at all of circumstances around him, he might have panicked and fled - as it was he simply lay in there in content.

Meia, for her part, felt an echo of that odd contentment. She was a warrior and kept to her warrior's ideals. One of which was to defend those unable to fight. Currently, Ranma was unable to fight. Therefore she would protect him. The purring and oddly catlike behavior became normal sleep, and after a time she slipped away to return with a blanket.

Her tail gently moved behind her as she considered the boy briefly, then brought a second blanket for herself.

There was little doubt that some in the village might get mischievous, and so the boy still needed her protection. That was all there was to it.

Thus reassured that there was nothing wrong with this situation and that she had a handle on it, Meia rested.

Genma finished running with many a nervous glance behind him. He had been chased by mobs of vengeful citizens many times over the course of the Master's training. The unfamiliar parts had been the hot tar, the feathers, and all the sharp looking farming implements.

Well, he knew that had been the wrong village now. So he'd be able to find the right village soon enough. Then he'd be able to get his son back and be on his way again.

"OUCH!"

First though, he'd have to get all these feathers off.

Fortunately, these were only stupid foreigners, whereas he was Japanese. Outwitting them would be simple.
