It still rankled that he'd actually have to lay out the cash, though.
However, he was nothing, if not a planner. What else could he be, when he'd figured out how to train his son, get special techniques, and had arranged the marriage of his boy, all within his means. Others might have been challenged by such difficulties, and it had been something that he had to surmount, but in the end, he'd done it, and didn't need anything like a steady source of income to do it.
That was why he had the Acme Mail Order Catalog he had gotten for just such an emergency. Since trying to use the Art might cause him some needless hassles, he decided to use something from the catalog in order to assist him in regaining custody of his son. As the boy's sensei and father, it was he who knew what was best for his heir, not some group of cranky catgirls.
"Now let's see...." he murmured to himself. "I'll need some blueprint paper, and.... hmmm.... A mechanical horse.... That's interesting...."
Dita took in a deep sniff of the food that she was grilling, and smiled brightly. Her mouth watered from the scents that arose from what she was cooking, and soon enough, it would be a meal that would be appreciated by anyone around. With the way that it was turning out, she was certain that she was doing a great job.
And she hoped that Mister Outsider would think so as well. She was certain that he would have to be hungry, and the best thing to do in that instance would be to have something ready for him. That should make him happy, and make him feel really good. Then maybe he could relax, and not be so panicked when he was awakened, what with the peace offering that she'd made.
His reaction was what she'd be waiting for, as she really wanted him to be happy. Maybe then he'd be leaning more towards talking to her, and they could get to know each other. She'd always wanted to meet an Outsider, and now she had her chance. Now she could fulfill her dream, and make a new friend, at the same time.
Perhaps she'd even get him to be something more....
Just imagining that happening made her giggle, and hug herself before settling down to cook.
Holding a dress up in front of herself, Jura posed from side to side as she tried to figure out what the outsider would think of her in it. As always, she hoped that her clothing would make her look good, but this wasn't just a simple attempt to show off her looks. That was something that she could do any time that she wanted.
However, there was a new guy in the village, and he was most certainly cute. There was a bit of strangeness about him, but that merely made him more interesting. Such an attractive, and put upon young man would need comforting, which she could do quite well.
She would hug him to her bosom, nuzzle his cheek, and soothe away all his stress. Then she'd ease his concerns, and help him relax to the point where he would be perfectly calm. But if it left him with any stress, or if they... connected, then perhaps she could make him happy in the way that only a woman could do for a man.
Not only was she certain that she would like it, but she'd been wondering what having his kids would be like, and she'd wanted to have kits of her own for a while now.
Though, he did seem to be the type who'd need go slowly towards that sort of thing. Yet, perhaps that was for the best. After all, he would likely be very distracted away from his problems when he would get his first kiss.
Imagining herself giving that sort of thing to him put a smile on her face, and made her wonder if she should include Barnette in this. That made her think about calming both of their nerves at the same time, and that gave her plenty of ideas on top of the ones that she'd already come up with. It opened possibilities, and she was certainly considering them at the moment, while:
