“HFF! HFF! GONNA! HFF! HFF! KILL!! HFF! HFF! HERRR!!!” The werecheetah in a hospital gown vowed between breaths and contractions.
“Brianna!” Dr. Theodore Diggers shouted as the door slid open, he and his wife decked in the same medical scrubs as aforementioned daughter. “We received the signal! What’s the prognosis!?”
“Never-mind the ‘prognosis’!” Julia shouted as she pushed her way passed her husband. “Is my baby okay!? Is my GRANDBABY Okay!?”
The Diggers sister currently watching over her beached-whale-like sister turned t her parents. “Mom! Dad!” Brianna shouted.
Taking notice of the situation, Theo was quick to ask, “Brianna! What’s going wrong!?”
“N-nothing’s wrong,” Brianna managed to get out before her sister grabbed the top of her medical scrub. “Brit’s going into labor!”
“HFF! GOING!?” Britanny pulled Brianna closer. “HFF! HFF! BRIANNA! I AM THERE!!!”
Shaking her head a moment to clear the ringing in her ears, Brianna turned to her parents. “Everything’s happening just like it would for a normal human birth...” The Lycanthropoid gulped nervously. “Except...”
“A ‘piece of cake’ she said! HFF! HFF!” Britanny ranted as he continued to speed up her breathing.
Again, the door of the med-lab opened quickly, this time, Jetta, werewolf and midwife for Britanny. “What’s happening?” She asked the closest person as she walked closer to the group. “Why all this shouting? Where’s Britanny?”
“Jetta,” Julia answered, “Britanny seems fine... But she’s experiencing something you said she shouldn’t. Labor pains.”
“Wh-what?” Jetta asked in confusion, not noticing as a hand reached out...
*KA-GRAB*! “GLK!”
...And started chocking her, pulling her forward.
“YOU LIED TO MEEEEEE!!!” Britanny screamed bloody murder as she pulled the werewolf down to her level; fires of righteous fury flaming around her in a corona of ultimate inferno.
“Britanny!” Julia and Brianna shouted as the werecheetah. “Let go of her, dear...” Julia added, albeit nervously as Britanny smiled rather maniacally.
“I’m gonna REMEMBER this, Jetta!” Britanny vowed as she stared Jetta in the eyes, pain wracking her body. “Ohhohohooohhh yeeah... I’m NEVER gonna forget you for this! HFF! HFF!”
“Beloved,” It was then a hand gently touched Britanny on the shoulder. Looking up, the werecheetah saw it was her husband, the Kryn Stryyp. “It’s going to be all right, Britanny,” He assured her. “We’ll get through this together.”
Low and behold, his words somehow got through the anger and pain the werecheetah was going through. Her eyes watered up as her grip slackened around the werewolf’s neck. “M-m-muufffiiiinnnnn... It hurts so much...”
“All right, stand clear,” Gina said as she cam back into the room, decked in full medical scrubs like the majority of her family. “I’m going to anesthetize the patient.” She raised an eyebrow. “And Jetta, why aren’t you and Stryyp wearing proper clothing in my clinic?”
“First, there isn’t an anesthetic in the WORLD that would work on a Lycanthrope’s Toxic Immunity,” Jetta said seriously. “Second, Britanny nor Tifanny could possibly get sic or infected. Your own ‘Blood Test’ proved Tifanny regenerates as a Lycanthrope, Gina.”
Lowering her medical mask, Brianna frowned as she looked over an Sonogram Screen. “You know what, Gina? She’s got us there. And besides, We got more to worry about NOW!” She said urgently. “It’s Tifanny. The Sonar says she’s stopped making progress. Brit needs to step it up and PUSH!”
Moving over to her daughter, Julia encouraged, “You heard Brianna, Baby. Come on! You can do this!” She coached.
“HFF! HFF! I’m trying, I’M TRYING!” Britanny answered. “HFF! IT JUST HURTS! IT HURTS!”
“Jetta, is there anything you’ve overlooked?” Stryyp asked seriously, his hand still on his wife’s shoulder to comfort her. “What does Brit have that other Lycans don’t? What does she lack that other Lycans possess?”
“I... I don’t know! She seems so healthy!” Jetta said quickly. She rubbed her head in thought. “It would be easy to see why she’s experiencing labor pains if she was missing something from her enchantments. But she’s a PURE Werecheetah! Everything is intact!”
It was then, amongst the group, recognition and realization came to a set of eyes. “Er... Jetta...” Theo said slowly as he lowered his medical mask. “Not all of her enchantments are ‘intact’...” Everyone turning to him, he continued, “I removed Britanny’s ‘Lycanthropy’ enchantment when she was an infant. I didn’t want her to inflict anyone by accident. And even if I did know how to restore the enchantment, I couldn’t! All spells are harmful to Tifanny while she’s sharing Britanny’s Aura. Additionally, if the weave responsible for secure child-birth was linked to the Lycanthropy enchantment, the pain may stem from ethereal feedback AS WELL as labor! We’re stuck!”
“Medical science can’t help Brit either,” Gina surmised. “How do you medicate anyone that’s immune to all external chemical influence? How can you operate when she can heal six seconds after the incision?”
“Guys!” Brianna shouted from her spot by the sonar. “I got some good news and bad news! The bad news is, Tif’s just put it in reverse. While you two were talking, we just lost six centimeters. Brit’[s nervous system is on FIRE here, and it’s wearing her out! The contractions are getting weaker!” As the others looked to her, Brianna sweated a little and said, “The good news is, I just saved a TON on my car insurance by switching to Geico! C’MON, BRIT! PUSH!”
“Five more minutes,” Julia mentally surmised as she saw her struggling daughter. “Five more minutes, and she’ll be out of steam. Then what!?”
However, Julia’s unasked question was answered as Jetta just grabbed Britanny’s tail and pulled it up. Holding it taught she bit down as hard as she could.
“Jetta!” Julia shouted as she raised a fist. “What are you-”
“Julia, wait!” Stryyp shouted as he used his other hand to grab Julia’s wrist. “Look at Britanny!”
Stopping in her attack, Julia looked to her werecheetah daughter. The girl was relaxing incredibly so, the tension melting away from her frazzled body. “I-it coats... It soothes... It relieves...” She mumbled incoherently.
“Huh?” Gina boggled as her sister was suddenly... Probably better than she had been in her entire life. “Is that some kind of weird werewolf nerve pinch or something? What just happened!?”
“Lycanthropy, perhaps?” Theo suggested.
“But Jetta can’t inflict Britanny with Lycanthropy! Britanny is immune...” Gina blinked her eyes. “Isn’t she?”
“Then possibly...” Theo stroked his beard. “Jetta is sharing her enchantment with Britanny somehow? Which means Lycanthropy isn’t quite the ‘disease’ as I initially believed...”
Gina nodded her head slowly. “This tosses all of my theories in the dumpster too... Hmm...”
“Gina!” Brianna shouted to her sister that was drifting off. “Heads up! Literally! Tifanny’s on her way out at Frickin’ Warp Factor Nine!”
“Heads up is right!” Gina shouted as she got into position between Britanny’s legs. “I see it! I-I’ve got her head! KEEP PUSHING, BRIT!”
“It-It’s my granddaughter...” Theo could only mumble in awe as he was looking over Gina’s shoulder.
“She’s coming!” Gina shouted. “She’s-”
“WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!”
Hearing the newborn wail, Jetta finally let up on biting Britanny’s tail. “Phew... Works every time... Heh.”
“Jetta?” Came a weak voice. Turning her head, Jetta saw Britanny, much calmer and actually smiling at her, albeit weakly. “I’m gonna remember this, Jetta... Ohohoho yeah... I’m never going to forget you for this.”
“Oh, Britannieee!” Gina called out in a sing-song voice, a bundle in her arms. “Got someone who wants to meet you...”
Britanny smiled, tears in her eyes as she held out her arms to accept the precious little life she and her husband had created. She was a mother. After so long, she finally had a child. Nothing could make her happier than she was now...
“GINA!” Theo shouted urgently, his eyes wide. “Get back here!”
“Huh?” Gina asked as she handed Tifanny over to the proud parents. “What gives, dad-”
“THERE’S ANOTHER ONE COMING!” Theo shouted. “I can see the head!”
“WHAT!?” Was the simultaneously cry from nearly everyone around the room.
Looking over her Sonogram Screen, Brianna blinked her eyes. “But I don’t see anything!”
“Well, I see it over here!” Theo said seriously.
Getting back to where she had been, Gina’s eyes widened. “Jinkies! Dad’s right! You got another one coming!”
“A-another one?” Britanny asked deliriously. She was going to be a mother TWICE over?
“But, I don’t see anything on the Sonogram!” Brianna shouted.
Gina frowned. “Then get over here and see for yourself!” She blinked her eyes as she started to pull the little baby free from the werecheetah’s cervix. Unlike its older sister, the little thing was in full hybrid form, covered in a light fuzz of fur all over its body. As she pulled it free, its little tail slinking out at last she smiled and held the quiet little thing up. “Congratulations, Brit! You have a baby boy!”
“Oh my God, are you serious?” Britanny asked. “I didn’t feel a thing down there!”
Smiling, Gina started cleaning off the little thing before she bundled him up in a small blanket as well. “See for yourself.” She said as she walked over to the deliriously happy werecheetah. “You and Stryyp have a son, too...”
Ignoring how the others were delirious over the fact Britanny had TWO children, Brianna couldn’t shake a sneaking suspicion and doubt. “I don’t get it...” She mumbled. “I didn’t see anything besides Tifanny in this Sonar. And what about when we were all saving Britanny from Tanya in that Ether Realm? We didn’t see any other children in there with Tifanny.”
“Brianna,” Theo spoke up, having heard Brianna’s mumblings. “It could be the little guy was camouflaged by Britanny’s aura.”
“Huh?” Brianna asked.
“It would make sense,” Jetta said seriously. “Lycanthropes ARE Exo-Aura beings. And Britanny and Stryyp’s son was born in hybrid form, a rarity, but not a danger to the child. So his form would have been an exo-aura...”
Brianna caught on. “And since unborn Lycanthropes depend on the exo-aura of their mother when in the womb, Britanny’s overshadowed his completely. And since there was nothing else to see of him besides an exo-aura... Any scanning one could have done would have wielded nothing.”
“Precisely,” Theo said. He managed a small smile. “I guess we should count the son as one unaccounted for miracle.”
