On the other hand, he did seem to be appear to be a bit of a show off.
"Just why do you have to walk on the canal fence?" she asked.
Ranma looked down at her and shrugged. "It's balance trainin'."
"I know that. Mom's always pointed out stuff like that, but do you have to walk up there now?"
"Why not?"
"Because there's no reason to?"
"Ah, on that, you're wrong. Ya see, ever since I was a little kid, Pop's been teachin' me that anythin' can be trainin'. Walkin', eatin', and even just gettin' water from a river can be trainin', if ya find a way ta have it that way. Ever since, I've been usin' every chance I get ta train, so much now that it's become habit."
"Oh...."
"I didn't think it was possible," Nabiki commented wryly. "That makes it even more astonishing."
"What are you talking about?"
"Someone who's more into the Art than you, little sister. You practice a lot for people around here, but our uncle's got you beat in that arena."
"Well, martial artists have to train hard to do well," the younger Tendo replied with a sniff.
"And he trains harder than you."
"So what? It's not like this is a contest."
"No, but it did surprise me, and that's no easy task. I'd always thought that you were at the peak of over doing it, but Uncle Ranma here is positively rabid about it."
"Hey!" the pigtailed boy barked.
"I didn't mean to sound rude, you realize."
"Ya didn't?"
"Nope. You see, I always thought that my little sister was obsessed with martial arts, but you've actually proven that someone could go further than she can. So, the way that I figure it, there's probably someone who's more into learning the Art than you are."
"There ain't anyone better than me."
"I never said that anyone was better. I said that they were more into it. Or have you taken to living in the mountains, with only the Art as your entertainment."
"Uh... no."
"That's good, since that'd be a waste of a perfectly cute boy."
"Cu... cu... 'Cute'?"
"You do realize that you are attractive, with a nicely tight body. I could even be persuaded to...," the middle Tendo daughter purred, leaning towards him with her eyes hooded, and her smile sensual.
"Ta...."
"Do a lot.... A whole lot."
Totally confused by her words, but completely freaked over her sensual behavior, Ranma held himself tightly.
"After all, you have to know how to get the best out of a calisthenics routine."
Surprised by her words, Ranma dropped down into the canal with a large splash.
"What? Did you think that it was something else?"
"Did you have to do that this time?" Akane asked flatly.
"Do what?"
"You know what. And you know who he is."
"Like I'd try anything with our uncle. I'm not into that sort of relationship with a relative, by marriage or not."
"Funny way of showing it."
"I'd like to think so," the elder girl drawled.
"Ha ha. Now we'll have to get him some hot water to change back."
"Hmmm... That's true. Well... I know. Doctor Tofu's office is nearby. He can give us some water, and you can get to see him. I know that you want to."
"Nabiki!"
"Ah, the joys of being a sister."
Glaring at her sister, Akane blew out a breath, and wondered when Nabiki would change certain behaviors, while:
