Dragon Wives: Martial Artist on the Roof [Episode 147294]

by Proteus

As soon as the bell rang for lunch, Ranma thanked the kami for whatever had kept anything from happening in class so far. At firs Ranma had been happy since the little vampire of a teacher wasn’t teaching any of his classes, but Six and Jane more than made up for her absence when it came to nervousness. With Akane and Ukyo added into the mix it was just a bomb waiting to go off.

Both of the dragons had sat beside Ranma while Akane was on the other side of the room with her friends, and Ukyo sat in the opposite corner. Akane glared at Ranma, Six glared at Akane, Ukyo looked like she wanted to kill Jane, and Jane just chuckled to herself while giving Ranma lecherous looks. Ranma just sat his head down on his desk, and ignored the teacher while he had prayed for the day to end all the quicker.

But now that it was lunch time…

“Where’re you going?” Jane asked Ranma as she saw him standing up out of the corner of her eye.

Ranma froze halfway out of his seat and looked over to Jane nervously. “Just to the roof. I uh… like to eat lunch up there.” It sounded better than ‘I want to get the hell out of here before Akane finally snaps and tries to kill me’.

“Hmmm… that’s actually a good idea,” Jane commented. She’d finally be able to get away from all these pesky humans in their cramped little rooms. It was just another testament to the stupidity of humans: they get smart enough to move out of cramped caves, then build buildings with tiny rooms, and then crammed as many people as possible into said rooms for most of the day.

“Well, he does have them from time to time,” Six said with a smile before wrapping her arms around Ranma and resting her chin on his shoulder. As soon as she did, the dragon noticed everyone in the room was giving her husband a dirty look. Stupid humans, Six thought as she gave them a murderous glare back.

A few minutes later…

“I still don’t see how you can eat that,” Jane muttered as Ranma finished off the lunch that had been meant for her; he had eaten his own just before, and Six’s on the way to school.

Finishing off the last bite, Ranma tossed the empty box aside. “Seems pretty good to me.” Of course when the first ten years of life that Ranma could remember were wandering from place to place and eating what could either be caught or stolen most of the time, eating anything that was actually prepared in the right way tasted good.

With his meal done, Ranma scooted a little ways away from the tiny wall that helped to box in the exit of the stairs on the roof and relaxed a little. A moment later the two dragons were by his side, arms wrapped around him and held close like they had been spending the nights together as of late. Ranma had gotten so used to it he didn’t even try to stop them.

“That’s just it. It’s just good to you,” Jane said before half caressing, half grabbing Ranma’s face so he couldn’t look away. “Don’t tell me you don’t dream about things better than this.” Jane gestured to the school and empty lunch boxes to help get her point across before she crossed all personal boundaries and got right up in Ranma’s face to turn on the charm. “You could have so much better, so much more.” She leaned in and kissed him on the lips.

Ranma didn’t resist, he never really did anymore. It wasn’t so much because of the fact that Jane would have been able to overpower him anyway, it was just… well, whenever Shampoo had kissed him, it had been so intrusive. She had just forced her tongue in and did what she wanted. Jane didn’t do that, although she had no respect for personal space, if Ranma didn’t agree to go along, she didn’t go any further. She even let go instead of trying to hold onto him crushing hug… sometimes.

Jane moved her lips away from Ranma when she found his unwilling to let it go any further. Not wanting to have sex was all well and good for her, but his inability to commit to any kind of intimate contact was starting to get to her. Taking one last look at the boy’s face, Jane followed her co-wife’s example and laid her head down comfortably on Ranma’s shoulder. A bit of aggravation built up inside of the dragon. At first she had thought bit of reluctance from her husband was understandable considering what she was, but after seeing her husband’s fiancées Jane was starting to rethink that theory.

But there was only one way to be sure though. “Ranma-”

“Shhh!”

Jane glared over at the other dragon after Six had abruptly cut her off. “What?” When Six just motioned her head to over to Ranma’s, Jane looked to see that the boy’s eyes were closed, and noticed his breathing had become extremely relaxed. The boy had fallen asleep. “Figures,” Jane mumbled. Although in Ranma’s defense, they had kept him up pretty late last night because of Six’s fixation with some Japanese cartoon show.

For a moment the dragon in human form just rested on her husband’s shoulder, and then got off him a few seconds later. She was a dragon damnit! A space faring, energy breathing, spell casting dragon! She set her own damn schedules! If her husband wasn’t up to telling her what was wrong with him then… well… she’d just go beat the information out of someone else that knew him!

Six as her friend just suddenly jumped up and started to storm away. “Where’re you going?”

“To get some information,” Jane told her crossly. She remembered Ranma mentioning that Nabiki girl would sell her own mother’s grave for farmland yesterday after they had all been introduced. Well, Jane had no intention of paying the girl anything, but the greedy often folded when threatened with death.

Besides, it didn’t seem like any of the others that lived in the same house as Ranma had enough brains to answer the simplest of questions anyway.

Six just shrugged at the other dragon’s attitude. If Jane was in one of her moods again then it was just best to let her be. Looking back over to her husband, Six frowned at their positions. That can’t be comfortable. Moving over a bit so she was no longer practically sitting on Ranma’s lap, Six pulled his head down to rest on her chest and stroked his hair. “You’re just so cute when you’re sleep,” Six told him with a smile.
