"Hello?" she said.
"Hello, Digger-san?" the voice on the other end of the phone asked. Genn almost said no, but the sound from the next room convinced her to say otherwise.
"She's busy at the moment, can I take a message?" she asked.
"Oh, well it seems that she has guests," the voice on the other end said.
"Guests?" Genn repeated, worriedly thinking about some of the other princesses and ex-fiancees.
"Yes, two women, two cat-people, and," the voice paused a moment and the ambient sound was muffled as if by a hand over the phone. "A man who seems to have a flaming skull for a head. They say they're family."
"Uhh...Hold on a minute, I'll be right down!"

"She said that she would be right down, sir, madam," the clerk said, nervously eyeing the rather tall were-cheetah.
"My daughter?" Julia asked, tapping her fingers dangerously.
The clerk was a Neriman resident and a practioner of the Anything Goes Art of Hotel Management Martial Arts. She recognized a fighter when she saw one (having almost demanded an autograph from the hero of her hometown in hearing he was staying at the hotel) and this woman was certainly someone that was probably even better than Ranma Saotome. Being a young mother herself and understanding the sentiment, she felt rather nervous about upsetting the woman.
This was disregarded the man with the flaming skull-head.
"No, it was someone else," the clerk said. "They said that Diggers-san was busy but that she'd be right down."
"Must be Genn," the blonde woman said.
"Brianna's busy?" the werecheetah repeated with a smirk.
The three women exchanged a look and a distinctive leer while the two men rolled their eyes (an odd sight on a man with a skull for a head). It was rather a reverse of the expected situation. (unless you were a martial artist from Nerima, so the clerk didn't notice, even joined in the leer)

Genn came down soon after.
"Uh, hey guys," Genn said. "Brianna and her fiancee are...umm..." she saw Theo's flaming skull and swallowed nervously.
"Settling things?" Britanny asked.
"Releasing some stress?" Gina added.
"Getting in some training?" Julia added.
"Err...yeah," Genn said.
"So," Theo said. "Who is my youngest daughter marrying?"
"And why do you keep going off on these near-lethal adventures with her and keeping it secret from the rest of us?" Gina demanded (suddenly in full big-sister mode).
"Oh," the clerk said. "He is just SOO dreamy! An excellent martial artist, good-looking, perfectly clueless about women and overwhelmingly loyal. If I weren't already married with a family, and if I were ten or so years younger, I'D have been after him." She produced a book. "I got his autograph...see?! Right next to Ryouga Hibiki...he was cute too...and Ryuu Kumon...and I wanted Tarou...but he ran away crying when I asked him to sign his name in my book."
Everybody looked at the clerk and blinked.
