"I live here!" the youngest Tendo snapped, glaring down at the prone figure.
That seemed to make the redhead enormously happy, as she shoved the panda off of her, and leapt to her feet. Before anyone could think to figure out what she was doing, she was right next to Akane, and was hugging her for all that she was worth. Her arms tightened around the dark haired girl, and she seemed to be desperately needing to hold onto her, as if she was afraid of the girl disappearing. However, that disappearance didn't happen, as she was still there, able to let the redhead enjoy hugging and snuggling against her.
"I missed you.... I didn't wanna go, but I had ta... But I never guessed that I'd be able to do this when I came here...." the pigtailed girl murmured.
"You...." Akane began.
"Yeah?"
"GET OFF OF ME, YOU PERVERT!" the dark haired girl snarled, and smashed the redhead to the ground.
"Ow...."
"Oh my," Kasumi commented. "Do you know any panda fighting girls, Akane?"
"Of course not!" the youngest of the sisters bit out.
"Then why did she hug you?"
"How should I know?!"
"It's me!" put in the girl who was once again prone, and getting up. "You know me. I'm Ranma!"
"You're Ranma?!"
"Yeah. I'm the same guy that you know!"
"Pardon me?" Nabiki drawled.
"Yeah?"
"But the last time that I checked, guys didn't have.... They couldn't compete with me in certain areas."
The redhead blinked before following the older girl's gaze down to her own chest. Then she colored and looked up at the Tendos. "I can explain!"
"Oh, really?"
"Yes, I can! If Kasumi'd get some hot water?"
"'Hot water'?"
"Please?"
Nodding lightly, the eldest Tendo daughter turned and left.
"And now you'll see why I'm happy ta be with Akane again."
"How are you 'with' me in the first place?!" growled the named girl.
"You know how."
"Because you're Ranma?"
"Exactly."
"'Exactly' wrong!"
"Akane?" her father asked, clearly confused. "What's going on?"
"Don't worry, Dad. I think that this is some sort of trick."
"It's not!" the redhead protested.
"Yeah, right!"
"Why won't you believe in me?"
"Because I don't even know you!"
"We know each other really well! I mean, you told me how you wanted to play 'Juliet' in school because they would always think to make you 'Romeo'."
Akane's eyes widened in shock. "How in the hell do you know that?!"
"You told me!"
"I've never seen you before!"
"Yes, you have! It's me! Ranma!"
"Would you stop it! You have red hair and.... and... those, and my husband's got black hair and is a man!" she screeched.
Of course, it only took the choking noises that her father made to make everyone else realize that she had actually said what they'd thought they'd heard.
"Dad?"
"Akane? You're married?"
"Umm... Yes...."
"To...."
"Ranma Saotome."
"And you never told me?" he whispered, his face frozen in an expression of shock.
"Oh my," a returning Kasumi said simply as she looked at her parent.
"I... I'll explain later," Akane told him softly. "Right now, we have this pervert girl to deal with."
"I told ya who I am, and now I'll show ya. Kasumi? If ya'll give me the kettle."
"Ah. Certainly," the eldest sister replied, and handed over the kettle that she'd been carrying.
"Thanks. I can make ya see that I was tellin' ya the truth."
"How? By making us tea?" Nabiki quipped.
"Nah. By doing this," the pigtailed girl replied, pouring its contents over her head.
At first, Akane was left totally confused by what this stranger was doing, as she couldn't see a reason for it. But as the figure visibly changed, it was clear that something strange was going on. And when the change finished, what she saw made her go weak in the knees. "Ranma?"
Her husband raised his brows and looked at her. "Are ya gonna believe me now?"
"But... But... That's impossible."
"You believin' me? I wouldn't have thought that'd you'd ever mistrust me like that."
"No! Not that."
"Then what?"
"You... You were a girl. You weren't supposed to be... You can't be...."
"Thank Pop for that."
"I know that he's an idiot...." his wife trailed off.
"Trust me. He's that stupid. Or d'ya think that pandas walk around so nice all the time."
"The panda?"
"Is him."
"So he's...."
"'Cursed like me'. Yeah. So does that mean that you'll try ta believe me now."
Looking at her husband's expression, Akane winced, and felt pained at the hurt that she saw there. Not that she could see some way that she could have acted differently. Yet, knowing that her inability to give him a chance had been hurtful towards him made her feel terrible. She raised a hand up towards his cheek, and tried to say things with a voice that wouldn't make a sound.
For a moment, she thought that he'd smack her hand away when he raised his own hand, but he took a hold of it instead, while:
