Earth had been seen as a marketable product. There were a large number of human-like races among the three galaxies they were known to trade with, and a number of near-human races were the result of experiments done a few millenia ago on the human genome.
They felt they owned the species, making it possible for interbreeding between humans and the Silver Millenium long ago. It had just been reclaiming a neglected resource when it was obvious that the Silver Millenium no longer had any legal standing.
The conversion of the planet to a pleasureworld, with thousands of available sex slaves - part of several plots actually. Human genetic material was such an interesting thing to toy with. Of course, the Voorl had partners in this and the arrival of the Jurai had been an inconvenience. Their arrival hadn't been on the plans for another hundred years at least.
It would take time, after all. The Voorl's allies had been masters of magic.
Combining magic and genetics had been one of their aims, and so far it had worked quite well. The females would work well as sexslaves in the short term, but by the time the Jurai were supposed to show up - the magical talents should have started showing up. With their loyalties set by their programming to the males of their race, who were easily led around, the race of magical girls would have been enough to eventually conquer all three galaxies.
Alas, the Jurai jumped the gun.
Now the Voorl and the Mahoujin could only watch and see if the experiment was a success, and scheme at ways they might yet break through and claim the prize.
His name was Ranma Saotome, son of Genma Saotome. Genma Saotome himself had a lot of wives but it had been determined long ago that trying to satisfy every woman constantly was a fatal experience. He'd grown up knowing this, and even with the legendary stamina of a Saotome - he valued his life too much.
Fortunately, there were methods of satisfying women that had been worked out that didn't drain a man to that extent. When Ranma was born and growing up, Genma had realized the dangers to his son of remaining in one place. Hence the training journey, and it incidently gave him a break from the day to day efforts of a harem.
Ah, but all things come to an end.
Genma knew that with Ranma turned sixteen, he had to bond his harem. Once he had settled down some, the danger of strange women sneaking in and kidnapping him would be much reduced. If he remained an eligible bachelor, well, just the reaction of that village of amazon women was enough to indicate that Ranma might be considered Grade A Prime Beefcake.
Fortunately, Genma had made arrangements. He couldn't tell Ranma though. Not yet. Have to cut off escape routes before that happened. He might have gone a little overboard with his tales of how women drained a man's life away.
