"I can heal more fully and teleport now," Lina muttered. "I'm still not that good with spell weaving. I do not want a pink short-sword!"
Picking up the now pink sword, Lina saw the hue was staring to fade away. Shaking her head, she went back to musing out lout.
"I can see magic energies from a distance. I still don't know why that stone affects me as it does. If I knew what it was, I'd have an idea. I have access to more magical knowledge than anywhere else, excluding quite possibly the Claire Bible."
Lina felt her clothes shift and she glanced upwards. "Time to go. Gourry is calling me."
Lina turned into smoke and reappeared outside the gem.

Zelgadis was felling like ripping his hair out in frustration. His group had spotted Gourry, but they saw no signs of Lina Inverse. The trio followed Gourry from a safe distance and kept watch in case Lina rejoined him.
Zolf muttered, "This is nuts. I haven't seen that little wench."
"Easy Zolf. We don't know what's going on," Zelgadis said.
The trio watched as Gourry stopped just outside the view of Atlas City. He started scratching his head and looked like he was trying to recall something. He snapped his fingers and slammed his fist into his palm. Flipping his left hand over, he rubbed the gem on it. Zelgadis, Zolf, and Rodimus's mouths dropped as they saw smoke coalesce into Lina Inverse. Zelgadis quickly clamped his hands around the mouths of his two underlings and waited.

Lina fought off an urge to kneel and looked at Gourry. "Any reason you called me out?"
"I figure that you'd want to enter Atlas like normal. Lina, I don't know if I did or not. I do apologize for....."
Lina waved it off. "I got a full explanation for that. Your wish shouldn't have turned me into a genie. It was that brain dead klutz who did this to me, not you. Your wish should have only given you an awareness of where I am, nothing more. Don't blame yourself for someone else's screw up."
Gourry breathed a sigh of relief and gazed at Lina with concern obviously in his eyes.
"How are you...? I'm not sure."
"How am I handling this? How am I coping? Slowly and a bit at a time. My new library is helping out a lot in those regards. I'll still get exasperated and angry at you, since I'm still irate over this mess."
Lina blinked and frowned, as she looked at Gourry. "Um, Gourry? Why are you carrying a magical sword?"
"It's a family heirloom. My family was about to tear itself apart over it. So, I took it and left. How did you know?"
"I can see magical energies now," Lina said absentmindedly, as she chewed her lower lip in thought and stared at the sword.
She shook her head, clearing it of whatever was bothering her and led the way into Atlas.

Zelgadis waited until Lina and Gourry had entered Atlas before removing his hands from Zolf and Rodimus.
"Zolf, your revenge has been cancelled," Zelgadis said.
Zolf nodded. "So that's how she got out of her hands. She was recalled back to her ring."
"No," Zelgadis corrected. "She was turned into a genie at that time. Look at her outfit. It's not the one she was wearing when we met her. She's trying to hide her new nature."
Rodimus asked, "Lord Zelgadis, are we going after the Philosopher's Stone or not?"
"What is the stone to a powerful genie? Lina Inverse is now more valuable than three stones."
