Lying prone on her bed, arms wrapped tightly around a pillow, Akane allowed the tears to flow freely as she tried hard to make sense of all that happened.
It wasn't like she had meant for all of what happened. So why did everyone downstairs react so quickly in blaming her for what was basically a simple mistake? Even *Kasumi* looked as if she didn't want her around.
Yet no one thought of what *she* was going through. Feeling that she had already alienated everyone outside of those that were in the household, Akane was looking for some sort of moral support from at least her family.
And then there was her fiance....
"Ranma," she mutterred in between sobs.
How true was the information that Nabiki told her? Had Ranma really been hers to lose?
'Maybe I can still find a way to get him back,' she thought. 'Afterall, he was only forced into loving her because of that stupid 'Sleeping Prince' contract. Ranma wouldn't even care for *her* otherwise. If only there was a way to get rid of that damn--'
Akane immediately pressed the pillow hard against her face, shudderring uncontrollably as she attempted to purge the thoughts from her mind.
"It's just what's left of the magic that's talking," she repeated to herself, knowing that there could be no other reason for her to still be thinking in such a manner. 'I just hope that what's left over will leave me soon.'
Akane's thoughts were interrupted by a faint sound from nearby.
"Who is it!" she shouted while leaping out of bed. Through her tear-stained eyes, Akane was able to see that someone else was in the room with her, though she wasn't able to make out who the other person was.
"What do you want?"
