"It is rather logical to want to contain any problems that might arise. After all, imagine what would happen if the constant fighting continued," Mercury reminded her.
"I know that."
"Then what do you think that they should do?"
"I don't know.... How about talking instead of trying to blast each other's heads in."
The cram school student winced. "That's true enough."
"You know, it could be in part happening because they got a 'power high'," Jupiter mentioned.
"Oh?"
"Remember, they're just getting their powers out of the blue. It's not like they have any direction to go in, so they can do whatever they want."
"Interesting hypothesis. How did you come up with it?"
"It's what happens when bullies realize that they're physically strong. At least, before I get to them," the tall Senshi replied.
"You know, it would have been nice to be able to schedule our fights," Moon commented.
"Oh?"
"Well, imagine how great it'd be to be able to take on a general without having to worry about missing stuff like dates, shopping trips, or stuff like that. And we'd know where we'd have to fight them."
"That could be nice, though our lists would probably be long. Could you imagine what it'd be like to have to handle that?"
"We could simply ask her," Venus suggested, pointing at the image being shown by the Gate.
"This is my list?" Dark Princess Tomo-chan asked.
"That's it," the official told her, and walked away. "Have fun."
Looking over the piece of paper in her hands, Tomo saw a whole big list of names on it, a lot of whom were actually in her class. Familiar names like those of Chiyo, Kagura and Osaka were there. Even Yomi had put her name down to challenge her in a fight. There was even Miss Yukari's name on her list!
For a moment, she stood there with her eyes wide with shock, utterly unable to do much else.
But that was over quickly, as she suddenly stood talk, and posed with one hand pointing out at some vague point in the distance. Her chest puffed up with pride, and a gleam of challenge entered her eye. "Let them come, since I'll beat them all! It'll be 'Dark Princess Tomo-chan versus everybody'!"
"That girl's got magazines," Venus observed.
"I think that you mean 'issues', Mina-chan," Mercury idly corrected.
"And even then, it'd probably go into 'volumes'," Mars scoffed. "Someone like that can't help being annoying."
Moon looked slightly conflicted. "I'm certain that she has some good points."
"How could you find good things in that?"
"Well... she has to have something, right?"
"You're always trying to find a bright side, Usagi. Most of the time, it's nice," the raven haired girl told her. "But sometimes, it just makes you seem a little overly understanding."
"HEY!" called out a voice.
"I didn't mean that in a bad way. Still... Usagi? You need to understand that to help people, you need to be a bit tough sometimes."
"I know that," the reincarnated princess replied.
"Then why did you get annoyed?"
"I didn't."
"Then who did?"
Calling up her visor, Mercury scanned the area before finding the source of the exclamation, and pointing to it. "There!"
"Whoever you are, come on out, or we'll make you!" Jupiter called out.
"And there's nowhere to race off to!" Venus put in.
"I knew that I should have left when I had the chance," the voice answered.
The Senshi of Fire scowled in the speaker's direction. "We can see that you're standing there."
"You can?"
"The mists aren't that thick, and now that I know that you're there, I can sense you fine."
"Aww... Aunt Rei....
"HUH?!" chorused most of the Senshi, save for Moon, oddly enough.
Slowly, a pink haired girl in a pink accented fuku walked out to stand in front of them, looking sheepish. She turned to look at the blonde with hair similar to hers, and gave off a small wave. "Hi, Mom."
"Chibi-Usa?" Moon asked with a blink.
"Not you too!"
"Huh?"
"I'm a teenager now! Do you have to call me that?"
"I guess not, but the last time that I saw you, you were... younger."
"Oh. Right...." the pink haired girl replied. "It's just that I'm used to you calling me 'Usa-chan' now."
"But if.... How are you back here?"
"Puu went nuts, and was trying to get all the guys, so I...."
"Was the one who got to her," Mercury finished.
"How did you know that?"
"Simply because it's the logical answer."
"Oh. I did it, because I had to, but I didn't want to hurt her. She wasn't... herself."
"We know about that."
"I'd suppose that you would, having cured her. I just have to wonder if she'd have this if there hadn't been a 'Ranma Saotome' around."
"Now that you mention it, she did comment about someone by that name," Mars murmured.
"Apparently, he was the first guy that she really tried to kill in all of this."
"What happened to him?"
Usa-chan stared at the shrine priestess before blinking in surprise. "You know, I have no idea about that. I didn't check up on him, and no one mentioned if his time line was changed. For all I know, she could have screwed his life up before I got here."
"Then there's only one way to see what happened to him," her future mother replied.
"Time to check the Time Gate," Jupiter commented, and they turned to look at the image of Ranma when it came up, which showed that the boy that Pluto had been so focused on was, in this new timeline,:
