Setsuna's Fault: The Goa'uld, The Bad, & The Ugly [Episode 149920]

by Kestral

Ranma had fought for long years against the invader, and the typical Goa'uld System Lord would have relished such a constant battle.

The Goa'uld in Ranma was a researcher, engineer, and explorer. He simply put Ranma's consciousness to sleep, only waking up his host briefly in order to make sure no part of the brain permanently shut down from inactivity.

As far as Ranma was concerned, he spent a lot of time fighting against the snake but then just woke up briefly at odd times. Whatever it was, it was not something he could fight with any martial art his father had taught him. Which made sense since his father had thrown him into the pit in the first place. So this "nekoken" was actually a snake-thing that took over your body. STUPID OYAJI!

Ranma awoke on the pel'tak, looking around at the controls and gadgets, then went off to spar. He had a plan, which was to build up his chi to a level where he could force the invader out. The invader didn't think it would work, but it was the only plan Ranma had been able to come up with to remove himself of this technique.

Ranma saw the Earth dwindling in the distance and knew a brief moment of wonder at the sight of it. He was the first Japanese in space, at least that HE knew of. Wow.

"So where are we heading?" asked Ranma of the air.

A world I know of through my research, came the snake-voice. A world where Nirrti conducted research once. It may be that I can begin acquiring Jaffa and resources there.

"Huh," said Ranma. "Don't suppose I can get ya to just get the hell outta my body?"

If I cannot gain access to a sarcophogus, eventually I shall have to do so, admitted the parasite.

"So why are you letting me see this?" asked Ranma, gesturing towards the screen.

Curiosity. When a Goa'uld Queen breeds her larvae, she decides what traits to pass on to her spawn. It was decided to make some more inclined towards technical matters and a healthy curiosity is part of that, admitted the nameless snake. We have lost much in the eons since then. Our own name was lost due to tortures before being placed in the jar. We shall find another. Perhaps your father's name. Genma is 'nightmare' after all - and an appropriate name for us.

"Yeah, yeah," said Ranma. "I'm gonna get some practice in since I'm up."

Go right ahead. The trip will take some time, and your health is rather important to me at present.
