"(You wouldn't imagine how much trouble it can be. Used to be that we only had to worry about martial artists running over, or having a fight on, them. Now we have girls flying in and trying to land on the roof.)"

"(Some do, but it's easier to get to, and fly off from.)"
"(I see.... But who's 'Ranma'?)"
"(Akane's fiance. Martial artist jock who grew up on some stupid training journey.)"
"(I thought that sort of thing only happened in movies.)"
"(Tell his father that.)"
"(That's different.)"
"(Say.... Your friend wouldn't really try anything, would he?)" Nabiki asked, trying to sound conversational. "(He wouldn't throw me in some interrogation cell, right?)"
"(Probably not.)"
"(I thought not.)"
"(He'd probably simply find an easier way to get you out of his hair. He's a colonel, and has ways of doing that.)"
"(You mean....)"
"(He won't shoot you.... except if you try to kill us. Happens a lot, and it's kind of strange in that way.)"
"Um.... question from the guy being put out in the cold," Jack put in, holding up a hand. "Someone mind mentioning what that sound was?"
"Apparently, that was Akane's fiance, who's building some sort of take off and landing ramp on the roof to allow for flying girls to use it, without them destroying the tiles up there."
"Ahh.... Anything to know about him?"
"I don't know. (Is Ranma 'special' in some way?)"
"(He's dedicated his life to his Art, and is such an energetic person,)" Kasumi answered.
The younger sister nodded. "(And he's the best fighter in his generation. Unfortunately, he's also got a lot of problems, like multiple girls after him, idiot rivals, and the fact that he turns into a girl.)"
"(He... what?)"
"(Let's see.... He's constantly having to fight guys who attack him, with the regular ones after him because they want girls who have some sort of relationship with him. Those same girls include two fiancees, a girl whose village laws say that she's got to marry him because he defeated her, and a rich girl that just wants him. Oh, and his idiot father took him to a set of springs in China that make anyone who falls into, or gets hit by, that water, turn into the shape of whatever had drowned there, like pandas, ducks, cats, and in the jock's case, a girl, whenever they get hit by cold water. Hot water turns them back.)"
"(He turns into a girl.)"
"(A busty one, about so high, with a big chest.)"
"Is something the matter, Daniel Jackson?" Teal'c asked as he saw the confusion on the other man's face.
Daniel gave a slow nod. "I'd say so. Apparently, it seems that this 'Ranma' guy turns into a short and, well.... pretty girl when he's hit by cold water. Hot makes him normal again."
"Hold on," Sam interjected. "That shouldn't be possible."
"Carter? We're in Japan, tracking down where a bug that makes girls turn into all sorts of beings. And we saw a real live chase scene, like one out of a cartoon. I think that it's safe to say that this place isn't exactly 'reality central'," O'Neill informed her.
"You're probably right, but...."
"We need info at the moment. Daniel?"
"I'll try my best."
"Don't try, grasshopper. There is only doing."
