"I think we'll get the homework out of the way first, then work on your blocking some more, then I'll have to head home. Ya can work with Luna on making that bedroom of yours livable," said Usagi.
"That's not it, Mistress," said Sayuri. "That blue-haired girl we passed as we left class. She's been drained."
Usagi stopped, smiling. "Like in 'yoma' drained?"
"Yes, Mistress," agreed Sayuri. "I thought you would want to know."
"Ya got that absolutely right," said Usagi, putting her hand on Sayuri's shoulder. "Hey, LuNA."
"Well, at least she's not calling me 'looney' anymore," said the cat in the back.
"Think you can tail that gal? Ya got some decent 'hide in plain sight' skills," said Usagi.
"Great, now I'm chasing after a yoma while I leave the only Senshi I've found with a yoma," complained Luna as she moved to comply. Mainly because she was feeling awfully put upon but also recognized that this was potentially a valuable lead. "What's next? We're going to turn Sayuri's hideout into a high tech 'Batcave' with a Moon-computer or something? Oy gevalt."
If Luna had seen how Usagi had come to a complete stop and was getting this thoughtful/distant expression on her face, she might have gotten very very concerned. Fortunately for her current peace of mind (relatively) - she had already turned away to try and find the blue-haired girl in question.
"Hmmmmmmmmmmm," hmmmmed Usagi, thoughtfully.
Yoma were vampiric beings. Yoma were servitors of evil and darkness, and things like that. They were naturally cruel, vindictive, clique-oriented, vain, and could be downright sadistic evil wenches. The vast majority would have fit into Hollywood society without scarcely a ripple.
They were also incurable gossips. Even if you blew one up for the crime, a dozen others would take it up immediately thereafter. If not kept busy, they'd be found around the equivelant of a water cooler in short order, sniping verbally at each other and sharpening their claws both figurative and literal.
The news was making the rounds. There was a rival dark kingdom. Another employer was available.
This had... possibilities.
