The other girl merely smirked. "If you wouldn't mind paying attention to something other than your breasts, maybe you'd understand better."
"OH! I'm sorry it's just that...."
"Yes?"
"Well, this is all rather sudden."
"I would like to think that it would be," the elder girl replied. "The name's Nabiki Tendo."
"Ah, I'm Hotaru Tomoe."
"Nice to meet you Hotaru. So, what's your story?"
"My 'story'?"
"How'd you wind up here? You didn't come here with the rest of us."
"I'm not sure. You see, my friends and I were out looking for my friend Minako's cat. He was lost, you see...." Hotaru said apologetically.
"Go on."
"We found out that he'd been taken for some nasty stuff by these two men in a dojo, and when we went to deal with them...."
"Hold on a second. 'Two men'?"
"Yes. One was tall and thin, with a mustache. The other was this evil looking fat man with beady eyes...."
A scowl formed on Nabiki's face. "Dad and 'Uncle' Genma. I knew it."
"Eh?"
"My father and his friend. They know that we don't want them fooling around with things, and they keep on doing it."
"They're that evil?"
"No, just generally clueless, and more than sometimes they're dumb. But that doesn't say how you got here."
"Well, the fat man threw me at this cauldron, and when he did, I wound up here, and like... this."
"Ah.... I see...."
"I hope that you do," the violet eyed girl responded, curling her legs up to her chest, and blinking when she realized that she had more up top. "I don't know what's going on here."
"This? It's really simple. You see, it looks like my dad and his friend were trying to arrange my sister's life with the son of the friend. Except, as usual, they screwed something up. And now we get screwed."
"What?"
"You see that?" Nabiki asked, jerking a thumb at the source of most of the noise in the area.
"What are you... Oh my."
"Exactly. Akane's loud."
"'Akane'?"
"My sister."
"Oh." "In any case, it seems that we're all going to wind up doing that. Which means that sooner or later, it'll be you beneath him. Or over him. Or... you get the idea."
"I'm going to...."
"Can't help it. He's the only one who can reach each of us, but as soon as he does, we want to spear ourselves on him."
Those frank words made the younger girl turn a bright shade of pink. "EH?!"
"Trouble with something?"
"Are you serious?"
"You have a problem with being with him?"
"Him.... That.... That... cute boy?"
"Guess not," Nabiki said with a chuckle.
"Actually.... I.... uh.... He and me?"
"Eventually. Unless something happens before then."
"Oh MY."
"Pretty much my sentiments. But if you have to make love despite your own common sense, at least it's good to have a hunk who can make you enjoy yourself."
"Oh dear...." Hotaru whispered in a broken voice as she took in the enormity of the situation.
"You, I like. Don't know why. But I do."
Amalgam was a dark being, who cared little for the desires of others. She wanted to have the Sailor Senshi give up their power to her, and turned into her pets, and that was what she was going to do. It did not matter that they had their own hopes, wishes, and desires. As far as she was concerned, they were going to be hers even if she had to tear everything away from them. Yet, she needed a chance to get the last of them, and until Saturn showed up, she would have to wait, which meant that she needed at least a place to stay.
If she was going to be sticking around though, she wasn't about to leave it at simply getting a room at the nearest hotel. As a force for darkness, she would need a base with which to work her plans and strategies. Others had caves under glaciers, hidden pocket spaces, underground complexes, floating ships, and assorted other things.
She took up residence in an abandoned hot springs resort. Being an evil sociopath bent on cruel activities was one thing, but she liked her comforts as well.
"It's traditional, have to observe the forms," she murmured to herself as she considered the place. Certainly, it was supposed to be homey and inviting, but given a bit of sprucing up, it could do well. Of course, she wouldn't do the work, as she'd need servitors for that. They'd have to be particular to her style, and once she had them, she could use them for the plans that were already brimming in her mind.
