“Oh great, what’d you do now old man?” the boy asked while advancing on the group of Amazons. He had a pretty good suspicion what the commotion was about, but giving into it would only mean Genma actually did something worse. It was a universal law that he had discovered while living with his father, no matter what someone thought Genma did, it always turned out to be much worse than originally believed.
But luckily for Ranma, it seemed fate intervened and he didn’t need to test his ability to successfully defuse situations like the one before him. Something he never had much luck with in the past with anyway.
One of the Amazons in front of Ranma looked up to glare at the outsider that was the traveling companion to the one they had caught red handed. She opened her mouth to start shouting at him the most horrible curses she knew in the invaders language, took a deep breath…and then dropped her sword and stared at the sky on the horizon for a second before screaming bloody murder.
Ranma blinked at the unexpected reaction, and become even more confused as more and more Amazons looked in the general direction of the first, then more or less copied her reaction. Seconds later, the entire village was in a panic, with some women running away, while others took up weapons with a glare and looked to be ready to fight.
After shaking off his daze, Ranma turned around to see what the heck the big commotion was about.
