Despite any seeming ineptitude in actually thinking things through, Ranma realized that he needed a plan before he could do anything else. What he did know was that everyone had just been turned into a spray of orange goo, which was decidedly not something that he wanted to remember. Of course, it didn't help much since it didn't tell him more than that. For all he knew, that could merely be something that appeared after people were zapped away to some other land. Or it could be that it was a gateway, in and of itself. Hell, as far as his information would tell him, it was possible that each of those people touching them could be absorbing them into themselves, and that was their version of drool.

Shaking off the images that brought up, Ranma decided that he had to get more information. He had to at least know what it was that the goo was. It had clearly slid away to other places, but he couldn't track it if he didn't know what sort of properties it had. Sure, he could follow water down a drain, but motor oil didn't go in exactly the same way as a flowing stream.

So, he got up, and ran for what he knew that he needed. If he had a sample of that stuff, then he could check it out. The easiest way to do that would be to find some left overs that hadn't oozed off yet. And the only place that he could find that would be to find where a person was, which would fortunately be easy.

Getting to one was simple enough, though he did have to wonder about touching a girl's clothing. She might not be there at the moment, wouldn't know right then and could have had something that would keep her away for a long time, but it was still a very odd thing to be doing. Moving around the garments, and having to try to deal with things like the panties was a problem, but he did it with much swallowing, and licking of dry lips.

But it allowed him to find what he was looking for, which oddly enough turned out to be pooling on the crotch of the panties. Muttering over what sort of fate would do that to him, he tried to figure out what he could do with the ooze, and knew that he had to do something. Looking at it only told him that it was runny orange jello, and not much else.
